Black Lives Matter – Really, peaceful? What about: ‘Every City, Every Town, Burn the Precincts to the Ground’

Democracy is tyranny.

That’s from Black Live Matter “protesters” in Rose City (er, Portland) that has been “peaceful” for the last 51 nights. That chant isn’t sounding all that peaceful to me (although it’s at least different from the “This is what Democracy looks like” or other shopworn-to-bit chants they normally yammer):

(H/T: Gateway Pundit – Hi Jim!)

And if you think that just getting people to think about Black people is the purpose of all these rallies, when you do your homework and research about the organization (and those supporting it), this is what you get:

Portland riot organizer Lilth Sinclair, whom describes itself as a “Afro indigenous non-binary” protest organizer said that BLM’s mission for which she is a leader is the “abolition of the United States as we know it”. To me that sounds like a confession to trying to overthrow the government. You hear that Bill Barr?

She said that is working towards  “not just the abolition of the police state, but also the United States as we know it.” She also made the false claim that she was standing on stolen land. A treaty signed in 1818 divided the land among the United States and England. We later bought out England’s share.

Welcome to the People’s Republic of Portland where history is not a required course for rioters, nor is it even considered relevant. There will be no peace in Portland as long as wimps like Ted Wheeler, the mayor is in office. He is perfectly content to let them riot as long as they don’t go after him.

(H/T: David J. Harris Jr. Show) Peaceful? Better race relations? Hardly on both of those questions.

Good Patriots?  No, not even close. Add this from The Blaze:

One of the speakers at the event was Lilith Sinclair, a self-described “afro-indigenous non-binary local organizer.” During her speech, she called for the abolition of the United States as we know it.” Sinclair, who is a Black Lives Matter supporter, told the crowd that she is not just “organizing for the abolition of the militarized police state,” but also for the “abolition of the United States as we know it.” The crowd cheered and applauded for Sinclair’s proposal to tear down the United States.

Sinclair also said that Portland was “stolen land,” and instructed the crowd to carry out a “land acknowledgment.” Sinclair labels herself as a “Black and Indigenous queer, non-binary femme sex worker.” She also identifies as “AFAB,” which stands for “assigned female at birth.”

In an interview published last month, Sinclair talked about a “global uprising.”

“I think it’s apt that we are looking at a global uprising against oppressive structures during the month where we celebrate the anniversary of another uprising—another movement to not just ask for but to demand our rights,” Sinclair said.

And leave Christopher Columbus and the rest of our history alone, willya?  Like it or not, it is OUR history. And what “peaceful” movement does this to the police?

WARFARE IN GRANT PARK
Last night Communist and Anarchist rioters attacked the statue of Christopher Columbus in Grant Park, Chicago. Police tried to guard the statue, and a pitched battle ensued, with 18 police officers injured and a dozen rioters–nowhere near enough–arrested. The rioters gained temporary ascendancy over the police, got control over the statue and attempted to pull it down, but without success–unlike the vandals who tore down the statue of Columbus on the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol.

You can read about it here. These are some very short videos that depict the melee:

Even though I was a youngster, I remember the riots of 1968. Sure, the US is always trying to fulfill the aspirations of the Declaration of Independence and at times, it happens in fits and starts and sometimes with steps counter to them. That’s what happens when you have a country of Free People with different ideas.

Fundamentally (at least I HOPE that still holds), we are still a country of the Rule of Law (even as I admit that the Left, by indoctrinating three generations of our young’uns in schools that have gone left (another reason why homeschooling is becoming a bigger idea) may have worked to undermine that). People don’t like this and it may well be that this is a great show by the Left that they want Donald Trump re-elected.

If it isn’t, however, and the hearts and minds of America HAVE gone Socialists (“like Andy McCarthy says the revolution is winning“), we are really deep into Heinlein’s Crazy Years – and it is going to hurt Good and Hard.
