Democrats Are Recycling Russian Anti-Fracking Propaganda to Weaken America

As Democrats continue to cry collusion with our Russian enemy, it becomes clear that no set of policy priorities mirrors Vladimir Putin’s own than those of the Democrat party. None of these more so than anti-fracking narratives. Many of them originating in Putin’s Russia.

As observed here,

Mr. Trump’s open embrace of fracking and an America First energy policy, by itself, is a significant blow to the Russian economy its geopolitical noose on Europe and the Left’s narrative.

Details come to us, from of all places, the anti-Trump impeachment testimony on Capitol Hill understanding that we’ve already explored these points in our pages. But to hear it come from Trump haters seeking threads with which to tie up your President, can’t be understated.

In her testimony, [Fiona] Hill explained that Putin “saw American fracking as a great threat to Russian interests” and that a fracking ban would “play into strengthening Putin’s hands.” That’s because natural gas supplies are central to European economic markets. Not only do more abundant gas supplies make the U.S. stronger, but they make us more capable of supplanting Russia as a key supplier of European gas. Russia desires neither of those outcomes, mainly since it has used its largest gas company, Gazprom, as a weapon of political influence in Europe for years to significant effect.

Facts that manifest in what amounts to a priority for American Democrats. End Fracking. Hillary promised to do it if elected as have many of this year’s left-wing candidates.  A mission they share with Putin and his propaganda machine.

The evidence of Russian meddling in the fracking debate is clear. For example, a 2017 report by the Director of National Intelligence, … The report also noted that RT, the “Kremlin’s principal international propaganda outlet,” is engaged in an anti-fracking campaign in the U.S. as a way to combat American gas production and the threat it poses to Russia’s projection of power in Europe through Gazprom.

2018 majority staff report by the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology found that more than 4 percent of tweets from IRA, the agency behind Russia’s cyber campaign to influence the 2016 presidential election, were “related to energy or environmental issues, a significant portion of content when compared to the 8 percent of IRA tweets that were related to the election in the U.S.”

Russia has been interfering in our elections (and policy) for as long it has existed. To what effect, as regards fracking, is not subject to debate. The Democrat party is actively embracing and advancing Russian Energy Policy in America as its own to the detriment of the United States and in a manner advantageous to Russia.

Democrat candidates are running for the highest elected office in the land right now (and every other office) with promises and plans to advance Russia’s preferred energy policy in America.

The left is proud and loud about it. But the Democrats leave out the part (or do not realize) that they are promoting Putin’s energy policy priorities in the US.

My suggestion? confront them with that fact at every opportunity. It is a policy that enriches Russia and its Oligarchs, supports the Russian military intervention and objectives while damaging US energy independence, jobs, our economy, and our ability to defend our nation.

And that’s just one policy of Putin’s Democrats proudly support. There are more.
