Published in 1959, The Manchurian Candidate is a story about “the son of a prominent U.S. political family who is brainwashed into being an unwitting assassin for a Communist conspiracy.” Ever since it has also been something Democrats call Republicans. Yes, that’s projection.

Mr. Trump’s open embrace of fracking and an America First energy policy, by itself, is a significant blow to the Russian economy its geopolitical noose on Europe and the Left’s narrative. But there’s more. Ed Driscoll, sharing the words of Walter Russell Mead (over at Instapundit), flips the narrative in just a few words.
If Trump were the Manchurian candidate that people keep wanting to believe that he is, here are some of the things he’d be doing:
Limiting fracking as much as he possibly could
Blocking oil and gas pipelines
Opening negotiations for major nuclear arms reductions
Cutting U.S. military spending
Trying to tamp down tensions with Russia’s ally Iran.
“Yep,” Glenn added at the start of the month. “You know who did do these things? Obama. You know who supports these things now? Democrats.”
From day-to-day chatter (Twitter, Facebook, Fundraising Emails) to the crank-rhetoric of the clown car of left-wing primary Presidential candidates, those are all (proudly) Democrat priorities. Some of them, from day one.
The Democrat’s goals for our nation are all on Vladimir Putin’s Bucket List.
The entire Green New Deal (GND) is a promise to bring about the decline of our nation for the benefit of our enemies, not the least of whom is Russia and Putin. And that’s a great opener. When the Lefty nearest your next migraine starts ranting about the GND ask them. “Doesn’t concern you that the Green New Deal not only advances but accelerates Vladimir Putin’s agenda against America?”
The entire Climate Cult scam is an ode to the rise of communist nations, deposits, and the wealth empowerment of countries that abuse prisoners, kill gays, and treat women as property. All of whom will nod and smile when the West offers to slit its wrists while they make environmental promises they have no intention of keeping. If the promises are even anything other than business as usual.
The Paris Accord was just such an animal. A very pro-Putin anti-American globalist-socialist infringement on America.
Democrats claim they don’t hate America, but they loved the Paris Accord. They hate fracking. They loved the Iran deal (another dogpile of diplomacy). Anything that benefits our enemies. Especially nations like Russia, whom, deliberately or not, the Democrat party agenda serves. All while Donald Trump pushes hard in the opposite direction and the Democrat party invests all its political capital in trying to remove him from office.
It’s not that hard to work out. Unless you are a Demcorat.
