James Clapper has admitted that he was under orders from President Barack Obama to investigate Donald Trump during the 2016 election. Not Democrats and foreign powers who were colluding to interfere in Mr. Trump’s chances, but into Mr. Trump.
Rush Limbaugh shared audio of an interview with Obama director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
CLAPPER: The message I’m getting from all this is, apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh, by the way, blown off what the then commander in chief, President Obama, told us to do, which was to assemble all the reporting that we could that we had available to us —
RUSH: Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Stop the digital. Did you hear what he just said? He just said (imitating Clapper), “And, by the way, should we have just blown off what Obama told us to do?” Does he know what he’s just done here? Clapper on CNN today said Obama made us do it.
We’ve known this for a while and suspected it for longer. Intuitions that formed into facts when some of the Strozk/Page texts were made public. The “White House is running this.”
And, of course, Clapper’s appeal that they could not ignore “Russian Interference” produced reports and “facts” that were unvetted oppo-research filtered through Clinton-paid operatives to become the Steele Dossier. None of which, even Bob Mueller, a room full of Trump-Hating lawyers, and 30 million dollars could not turn into election interference for Trump because there wasn’t any.
The Russians implicated were deliberately un-indictable until their lawyers showed up and challenged Mueller for discovery. Caught Flat-Footed Mueller tried to get away but a judge wouldn’t let him. It turns out the 37-page indictment (charging 22 Russians) was not actionable. Mueller created it out to give the press something to crow about and a sense of progress where none existed.
He did this repeatedly, but no Russians were ever charged, found guilty, or in any way implicated in election interference. Not for Trump, not for anyone. And the few charges that Mueller could get to stick were process crimes or matters wholly disconnected from the original mandate.
As CNN noted in its own bittersweet recap of the Russia probe as it approaches its one-year anniversary: “The special counsel’s team has brought charges against 22 people and companies, notched five guilty pleas and seen one person sentenced.” However, CNN continues, none of these charges are related to “potential collusion between the Russian government and Trump associates.”
None. Collusion became obstruction. Obstruction became Ukraine. Ukraine is not working out well. And yes, we should expect something new any day to pop up and become the left’s new dreamy “This Time I have you now” scheme. The next best effort from the left to bring down the presidency of Donald Trump.
The unhinged vanguard whose impetus traces back to Barack Obama’s Oval Office.
Don’t expect too much-breaking news from Da Media on that dirty laundry unless it’s to emphasize a prolonged spin cycle.
