A new report drills down into the real cost of the Democrat’s Green New Deal (GND) in five US swing states. New Hampshire is one of those states, and the bottom line is, you can’t afford it.

Within the first year of implementing the program, the average household in each of the given states (Alaska, Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania) would incur at least $70,000 in expenses — followed by roughly $45,000 in annual expenses for each of the following 2-5 years and over $37,000 after that time frame.
It’s kind of the Left can come up with a plan we don’t need to save a planet that’s not at risk, that will cost more than the average American takes home in a year.
That’s before Free college, Medicaid for all, and the rest of it. All of which, some Democrats have begrudgingly admitted, will raise Middle-Class taxes.
Both CEI and the Heritage Foundation found that the Green New Deal’s energy goals alone would cost households hefty and likely impractical sums. When the American Action Forum (AAF), led by former Congressional Budget Office director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, looked at the GND, it accounted for several other goals with primarily economic aims (“universal health care” and “guaranteed jobs”). It found that the program could cost as much as $94 trillion.
There are Democrats in New Hampshire, in elected office, who support this realignment of wealth in the nation under the guise of stopping an environmental catastrophe. People who love the idea that even if there were a problem this vast (there isn’t) that giving that much money to the government would make a difference (it won’t). By which I mean the idea of reducing CO2 (which was never an issue) or lowering the global temperature (which will happen naturally with the solar minimum), are not things the government will ever do.
But none of that matters.
The cost to implement even a portion of this Green Wet Dream is prohibitive. It would destroy the economy and the nation.
It would deplete our economic resources and take money away from existing obligations – which, if you forgot – have already accumulated many tens of trillions in promised debt.
The reality is much simpler. The GND will create a massive expansion of government for no purpose but to take run your life by taking your money so Democrats can spend it on partisan left-wing priorities.
But it’s not all bad news. You can solve “global warming,” “climate change,” and all the rest of it by not electing Democrats (or suspected Democrats) at every level of government.
Don’t do it.
Kick them to the electoral curb, and all these made up to grow government problems go away.
It really is that simple.
And if it ever does become a problem, whatever it is, the free market will solve it faster and cheaper.
