Side effects of Green New Deal “Test Drive” – Power Outage Takes Electric Vehicles With It

California is a train wreck. The environmentalists won’t let power companies manage trees. Power line problems during natural wind storms suffer damage. Raging forest fires wipe out thousands of cars and entire towns. So, PG&E turned off the power. What could go wrong?

One site called it a five-country test of the Green New Deal. That’s a realistic assessment. Not having power for days or weeks might be what California needs. Taste of reality.

And look, the solar panels don’t do squat because they only feed the grid that’s turned off.

Hey, you can’t get much greener than that. Wait, you can! Electric vehicles can’t charge their batteries. That leaves hundreds or even thousands of cars sie-lined. Not messing up traffic on the way to the gas station to get fuel for the generator that coughs up CO2 and pollution – at least that’s what the greens say.

They don’t like cars or planes, or automobiles. They like Trains. But that’s about it.

So, it seems fitting that California gets to test drive the Green New Deal.
