Isn’t It Time to ‘Blame’ Trump for Gas Prices NOT Going Up?

One of the great things about being around for so long is that we’ve got a massive archive. Years of reporting and links about Democrat behavior. Like how the moment gas prices inch up they yell at Republicans and claim they are shills enriching big oil.

Democrats lost their minds last year when gas prices ticked upward.

Right before Memorial Day weekend, 2018, the desperate Left was blaming Mr. Trump for rising gas prices. This “hidden tax” was depriving the peasants of that meaningless tax cut Republicans had passed. Denying these families their crumbs. Trump should be impeached.

Prices would soar. Families would be destroyed. Wives and daughters would be sold to human traffickers. Sons would be bartered off to MS-13 gangs in hopes of securing some heroin or fentanyl to ease the pain. Cats and Dogs, living together, to borrow from Dr. Peter Venkman in the good Ghostbusters movie. Trump should be impeached.

A strange tack for the left considering all their policies on energy makes it not just more expensive but purposely unaffordable. They want high prices as a way to force you to change your behavior.

They had to bail on that argument last year. The economy would not cooperate and gas prices refused to get to where Obama and Democrats liked them. And Trump’s support for affordable energy continues to protect job creators and families from sudden and dramatic price spikes.

We’ve had a handful of what were once economy skewering oil-price spiking events this year with almost no impact on domestic energy prices. Venezuelan chaos, Iran, Seized tankers, downed drones, and a significant strike on Saudi infrastructure.

Gas prices where I buy are $2.25/gallon. As we expand the radius, we see $2.27, $2.33, and the stations near the highways get as high as $2.49. That’s the current average in the State. I haven’t paid that much in a long time.

In Texas, it’s under $2.00/gallon. In Washington DC, it’s the same price as here in New Hampshire. In California, you can’t find it under $3.00, but for them, that’s low. So much so that Democrats may see it as an invitation to raise the gas tax because they are blood-sucking losers who are drunk on the power you give them when they are allowed to steal your money.

The Left is so wrong on this issue that at one point last year a narrative was floated suggesting that low gas prices are bad for the economy. That didn’t last, but the Democrats are committed to ending economic growth and job creation.

The Dem-nomination cabal (lead by Lizard Warren) is promising to make energy expensive again. Democrats in New Hampshire repeatedly tried this past session to do the same. Enrich their government at the expense of your business and family budgets. And this year will be no different.

The only thing saving us from this domestic (and international) abuse and it’s red-headed step-child foreign dependence is this administration. A nation that has done more to lower CO2 emissions (if that matters to you) and energy prices, at the same damn time.

Feel free to blame Donald Trump for that. I do.
