Reading the Constitution to progressives on the floor of the US House is like a priest reading from the bible at an exorcism. They scream out and writhe, swear, insult, spew hatred, and do everything in their power to intimidate you before you can get to the end. They started screaming days ago, actually.
If only reaching the end would actually exorcise the socialist demons that lurk in the hearts and minds of members of congress; then we could make them read it every Monday Morning before the start of business. Maybe every day for some of them.
For now, we’ll have to rely on the voters to exorcise the demons from congress. We’ve made a good start. But we need to remain vigilant.
