The World is NOT Getting Warmer…Mr. President!

Polar-Bear-and-Cubs

Nothing speaks to the cloistered nature of what passes for left wing intelligence like Global Warming.  It is the perfect litmus test.  All you need do is ask and if the respondent sounds like this, you can rest assured that most everything else they know come from the same poisoned well.

What we do know is the temperature around the globe is increasing faster than was predicted even 10 years ago.

This is President Obama, the smartest man in any room, repeating what he thinks he knows to be true.  Unfortunately for the President and those similarly afflicted, not only has the earth not warmed faster than predicted even 10 years ago, it has not warmed at all.

Oz The Great and Powerful

Having just mentioned The Wizard of Oz here, and a different franchise prequel here, I guess we might as well share this;  It is the Wizard of Oz prequel.  Yes dear readers, there is a prequel.  And it looks half good and then some. The movie is due out next March.  It tells the tale … Read more

Ron Paul’s Farewell Address on the House Floor

It’s over 48 minutes so grab a beverage and a snack.  Good speech.  Compelling questions.  (And yes,  as a matter of fact I do expect Tim to re-post this having not noticed I put it up already.  Dig!) Here’s a meat and potatoes RP quote for you to chew on… “I’ve thought a lot about … Read more

Obama Care is Coming, Obama Care is Coming…

obamacareThere’s a great article at American Thinker about what you should expect with the rising bureaucratic tide that is the Patient Affordable Care Act.  Read it.  Share it with a liberal and watch the veins pop out of their foreheads.  It is a very real world assessment of what we face.

For our purposes here, however, I wanted to post a snippet of the content, in the form of a list of taxes that are coming along side, that you can just heap on top of everything else bad that is in store for us in the coming months and years thanks to Democrats.

What you need to accept, regardless of what the screaming fairness harpies on the left try tell you, is that any and every tax the government imposes on so called big business, or declares as just making sure “they” pay their ‘fair share’ will find its way down to you as higher prices, fewer jobs, less access, or poorer service.   And that’s before the corruption and abuse, the scapegoating, and the very shocking fact that spending trillions a year to give insurance to a few million may allow you to claim they are “covered” but because of all the other factors that come with that, they’ll inevitably end up have to look harder and wait longer for even the most basic care, the quality of which will. inevitably. decline.

The abbreviated list of new taxes is on the jump, some of them related to Obama Care, others are just the product of the negative side effects of Democrat rule, but all of them are coming…soon, and what you need to ask is–what will this do to both health care and a struggling economy?

The Foundation for New Hampshire Independence

The Union is Dissolved - Civil War era secession has become popular talk of lateThis just tumbled into my in-box and perhaps it is old news now.  It is a press release from a non-profit called the Foundation for New Hampshire Independence.  I don’t currently know much more than we can glean from the press release but they’ve got a web site (here), some press, and it’s run by Neal Conner, a Ron Paul Supporter and I suspect a Free Stater…and it does have a catchy slogan…’First Before, First again.’

Incorporated in September of this year, the Foundation’s motto, “First Before, First Again”, recalls New Hampshire being the first colony to form a government separate from the British. The Foundation seeks to educate citizens on the benefits of a peaceful separation from the United States and the re-establishment of an independent republic founded on the principles set forth in the New Hampshire Constitution.

Not advocating one way or the other just following the story, having noted that secession IS the latest fad …earlier in the week.

The full press release is available on the jump.

Red Box Review: PROMETHEUS

PrometheusPrometheus is Ridely Scott’s ostentatious pre-boot prequel of the Alien franchise and if you had $1.20 and were not sure whether to buy 0.32 gallons of gas, one-third of a box of cereal, 0.15 pounds of steak, pay full price for a compilation of every Pauly Shore movie ever made (weasel!), or to rent Prometheus…Prometheus is not the worst value for the money.

Actually, the effects are worth the $1.20.  It’s quite beautiful to look at.  But I was never all that invested with the plot or the characters (except for Captain Janek), and while there was nothing wrong with any of the performances I just never got into it.

You want to hear the premise? (Spoiler Alert)

Secession – It’s the Latest Fad

Since election day (private citizens from) 20 states have started petitions to secede from the United States.  I guess elections do have consequences. What began as a pair of parallel stunts appears to have gathered steam. Other than Louisiana and Texas, states with secession-related petitions pending on the White House website now include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, … Read more

Winter is Coming

winter is coming Game of ThronesAnyone who is a fan of  Game of Thrones will see the myriad meanings in that title, to both the story and to real life.

As for the thing itself, if you have not yet seen the HBO version of Game of  Thrones I highly recommend it.  The entire first season is available on DVD, which is how I came to view it.  Thanks to Barnes and Nobel, and a few gift cards and discounts, I managed to snag it for less than the cost of a month of HBO.  (My monthly food and gas bill have practically doubled while my income has stagnated so I’m doing the best I can with the circumstances I’ve been stuck with–I must choose my entertainments wisely and this came highly recommended.)

I cannot yet remark on how well the HBO version hews to the book–I’m reading the books now and 100 pages in (it’s 790 pages long) so far so good.

Don’t worry, no spoilers…

Voter Fraud, Kathy Sullivan? Really, you?

First of all, THANK YOU Kathy Sullivan for the opportunity to bring up a relevant subject about “winning” elections:

How many out of state voters were living in your private home this election cycle?

The one glaring example of vote stealing in NH, and how it really works, is your home where you let Geoff Wetrosky, a non-resident vote with your address. Wetrosky was paid for by Candidate John Kerry, to help Mayor for Life Bob. Did you get any RENT from Wetrosky? Did he have HIS name on your electric bill? How is a non-resident campaign thug able to call YOUR home, home?

Now Kathy, in this cycle, did you let any non-residents use your private home as their MOBILE DOMICILE and steal a Manchester vote?

How about signs, did you use your voter fraud motel as a drop off point for stolen signs like you did in 2005 when the Manchester cops showed up and caught you and Wetrosky?

Which Tax Lotto

smoking - what about the tobacco taxes in New HampshireNew Hampshire House Democrats are going to raise taxes and fees, the real fun is which one first and how soon?

My money is on the tobacco tax and I’d be suprised if it didn’t hit the committee table on the first day of the first session and find it’s way to the House floor in record time. Given the somewhat spinless make-up of the Republican caucus in the State Senate, I could not guarantee that it wont just flush through that chamber like s**t through a goose and come out the other side with Maggie Hassan’s signature on it.

The end result will be fewer sales of cigarettes and tobbaco products in New Hampshire.  That’s what happened the last time the Democrats raised the tobacco tax.  And if we need a cautionary tale to guide us on why this will happen again, we can look to the Peoples Republic of Denmark for help.

Stand With Stephen Forster & Forster’s Christmas Tree Farm

The Town of Henniker has cited Stephen Forster (Forster’s Christmas Tree Farm) with illegal use of his property. But State law provides that Mr. Forster may use his property for Agri-tourism,  also known as “agriculture,” a legitimate use of the land. Henniker has apparently acknowledged this but will not rescind its citation unless they are … Read more

Because They Voted Where It Matters

College kids bussed to polling places by liberals democrats and UNH ProfessorsBoston.com has an article today observing that pro-obama turnout in New Hampshire’s college towns is less than it was in 2008.  There is very intentional mention of concerns (from folks like myself I assume) about out of state students being used to tip the election; but how no one could ever know how they’d vote, and about the promtion by Democrats of the idea that Republicans were tyring to keep them from voting which is why they should.

So much concern in one tiny little article, complete with deceptions, and a new narrative to plumb.

Well I just happen to have a very workable theory about why turnout in NH College towns was down–something I had not considered checking until now, thank you–and it ties directly to a well worn New Hampshire Democrat excuse about why they support out of state student voting in New Hampshire.

Maggie “Louisville Slugger” Hassan Takes a Swing at The NH Democrats ‘Civility’ Narrative

Maggie the Red Hassan shows us the new civilityAnyone who bought or sold the New Hampshire Democrats bringing ‘Civility’ to Concord narrative has a very short memory, is a complete fool, (an out of state voter domiciled here on November 6th for voting purposes), or just another New Hampshire Democrat–and we’ve said as much time and time again.  They are incapable of civility.

To help us prove our point, before the ink was even dry on the ballots, Governor Elect Maggie “Beat Republicans With a Bat” Hassan was already cackling like the left wing, partisan harpy, she tried to hide during her race for Concord’s highest perch.

You Want The Truth? You Can’t Handle The Truth!

Ballot-BoxComments are often a great source of amusement, and often suitable for follow up material.  In this instance, in response to my post about Legally stealing elections with out of state voters who just happen to be in New Hampshire, an anonymous commenter using the handle “Speak the Truth” suggested that we just let it go.

Move On. We have an enormous task in front of us – “we” have to EDUCATE the public with the TRUTH. “Dumb cannot be solved with Dumber”

Really?

Here is my response,  some “education” about why we can’t move on…

About That Chairman of the NHGOP Works For Free Thing…

half mast GOP FlagAnyone ever wonder what possible advantage there might be to keeping the job of Republican Party Chairman of New Hampshire as an unpaid position?  I’m sure there are people with a pat answer but I have a theory.

Seems to me that this would guarantee that only well-connected, moderate party insiders could ever hold the job.  People who’ve earned it instead of people who’d actually work for their paycheck.  People who have to know people to raise any money as opposed to someone who would raise money like their paycheck depended on it.  Hardly what I’d call a governing conservative principle, passing the job along like a crown because the only people who can afford to do it don’t need the money it might otherwise pay were it a paid position.

And having delegates vote for the chairman only seems to work if the people who hand off the crown like the person they voted for.

Using the Law to ‘Legally’ Steal Elections?

voter checklist - legalized vote fraud in NHJudge Lewis made it legal for out of state residents to vote in New Hampshire.  It’s not quite that simple but he essentially legalized out of state voter influence on your local election (vote fraud) which is not actually a new idea but may have been executed on a massive scale this week.

Now you’d have to be a bit immoral or unethical to take unfair advantage of such a legal loophole, yes?  To find and encourage people to participate in such a scheme?  Well what if a certain political party did just that?  If they used a legal loophole, secured by a liberal Judge, in response to a suit brought by Liberal activist groups, then used their massive canvassing database to target polling places where they could tip elections in their favor?  That would be crazy talk.  Legally robbing other people of their voice with out of state voters?

So I suppose we’d need some proof to make that case?  Well guess what.  You can help us gather it.
