Methinks you’re forgetting ONE little detail here:

This matter will continue to be litigated in the courts, where we have our best chance of winning this fight.”

Given Obama’s penchant for doing what he pleases now that he has “flexibility” , I think a lot of folks are thinking “Hey, Obama wouldn’t DARE disobey the courts!”.  Me?  Not so much – I think he’s perfectly willing to do so.  And what’s Boehner and McConnell going to do then?  Not much – they’ve already sworn off impeachment and we’ve just seen them watch Obama steal their Power of the Purse.  Flapping their gums ain’t gonna do anything – Obama has just taken their lunch – and ours.

Thomas Jefferson’s Memorial has this as one of its inscriptions:

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.”

“Gift of God” – THE anchor point from which our Rights flow.  Not from Man and not from some collective.  Sure, it was a collection of men that wrote the words but they believed, too. They acknowledged that there is a Higher Power from whom our freedom and our liberty flows from.  They wanted to establish that with this fact, who was Man to take them away from the then (and I guess now, given the collectivism we are being dragged into) radicalism that we were not to be subservient to a government – it was to be subservient to we sovereign citizens.  This was one of our foundational values of our Republic as it buttresses their philosophy that it was no longer Kings that had divine right, it was each and every one of us that were sovereign before God and Nature’s God – a singular path to an absolute truth and to which Totalitarians, Communists, and Socialists rail against as they believe Man should serve The State. Think I’m wrong?

In fact, less than two hours into the attack, they were told that the al-Qaeda affiliate in Libya, Ansar al-Sharia, had claimed responsibility.

These revelations and others are disclosed by a trove of e-mails and other documents pried from the State Department by Judicial Watch in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The FOIA litigation focuses on Mrs. Clinton’s involvement in the government actions before, during, and after the Benghazi attack, in which Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, was murdered by terrorists. Also killed in the attack were State Department information management officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALs, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who were contract security employees and who had fought heroically, saving numerous American lives. At least ten other Americans were wounded, some quite seriously.

From the UL (reformatted, emphasis mine):  Warner felon caught with silenced sub-machine pistol, drugs

A car stopped by police for weaving along Route 28 on Thursday led to the arrest of a Warner man on parole who had a silenced sub-machine pistol, a shotgun and drugs.  Gordon Potter, 35, was ordered held on $250,000 cash bail following his arraignment on Friday morning in 10th Circuit Court—Salem Division. Potter was charged with felon in possession of firearms, being in possession of heroin and prescription pills, and making a false report to law enforcement…

During the conversation, the detective spotted a large hunting knife tucked into the side of the seat next to Potter. Police said that Potter became upset with the detective and refused to comply with commands. That prompted several back-up units to respond to the parking lot, police said. Police said officers found a small amount of heroin and prescription pills in Potter’s possession. Potter gave police a false name, but he and Drouin were taken into custody without incident, according to police. Officers searched the car and found a Kel-Tec 5.56 silenced sub-machine pistol and a 12-gauge shotgun in the vehicle.Deputy police Chief Shawn Patten said the type of weapons – especially the silenced pistol – drew concerns from officers given Potter was a convicted felon.

I just had to chuckle when I read this headline – when are too many letters just silliness?

LGBT acronym not inclusive enough for Wesleyan University, which insists on LGBTTQQFAGPBDSM

…expialidocious!

This is no joke, notes Jennifer Kabbany at College Fix, by which she obviously means it is not intended to be funny. Wesleyan University, she observes (via Powerline’s Steven Hayward), “is now making sure every sexual fetish, whim, kink, orientation, impulse and desire … gets its own capital letter in the ever-growing acronym of the formerly Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer community.”

The new formulation is a mouthful. Repeat after me: LGBTTQQFAGPBDSM, which stands for “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Flexual, Asexual, Genderf**k, Polyamourous, Bondage/Disciple, Dominance/Submission, Sadism/Masochism.”

Here is the official word from the university’s Office of Residential Life regarding an on-campus facility — a safe house, if you will — called “Open House” that accommodates all … er — “comers”:

Heh!  I’m not sure I’d want to take that task on – enumerating those kinds of rules.  You see, standing on solid foundations are just so much easier to navigate through life – you never have to worry where you stand.  Or what your stances are.  RINOs?  The moderate middle?  Squishes?  The “just sounds right” crowd?  To me, that would be MUCH harder – just imagine really trying to keep track of your stances / votes of yesterday, last week, last month, last year, last decade and all the times inbetween.  I certainly couldn’t do it – nor would I want to.  And then in some kind of discussion, trying to defend what I can’t remember because I’ve flip-flopped more times John Kerry?  So I thought this at Conservative Review, outlining the attributes of a RINO, was kinda of amusing….

It becomes clearer every day that there are not only two parties in Washington, D.C., but there are also two wings of the Republican Party. Conservatives who fight for limited government, fewer taxes, less regulation, more freedom, devolving federal power to the states, prudent immigration, and constitutional principles…So what guides these powerful liberal Republicans?

Here are the 8 RINO rules:

1. Bait and Switch
This can also be referred to as “politics over principle” or “don’t fight now, fight later”…

2. Show Me the Money
Votes win elections and money is used to get votes, therefore simple calculus tells a RINO that money is the most important thing ever…

3. Fear
This one is simple – they instill fear in you the voter. You don’t want a Democrat in office – do you?

…Shumlin is right, however, that Obama’s job approval ratings have rebounded slightly. That should be cold comfort for Democrats. According to the Democratic Party “autopsy” released this week, the president’s party has lost 13 Senate seats, 69 House seats, and 11 governorships since the president took office in 2009. I would add that the party has also lost control of 32 of the nation’s 99 legislative chambers (the party entered 2009 with control of 62 chambers and will end 2016 with control over just 30).

“It was less about governors. It was very much about the national wave against Democrats,” Delaware Gov. Jack Markell added, essentially repeating up his Vermont colleague’s blame shifting.

Yup, don’t change a thing.  Period. Forget about that “All politics is local” saying that former (and late) Speaker of the House Tip O’Neil used to say.  Just keep on truckin’
