There is a gathering amount of interest of putting in several Amendments to the Constitution outside of the “regular” process via an Article V Convention of the States to hold such an event to propose, draft, vote on, and then bring back to the States a series of Amendments (e.g., a Balanced Budget Amendment). Hal Shurtleff will be presenting the argument against (e.g., it could go way out of control and open a Pandora’s Box of Badness) and NH State Rep Frank Edelblut will be presenting the argument for it (e.g., the DC politicians will never do such as it would limit their power and because POLITICS!).
