Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. Quick Thought – seeking redress should not require police escorts for elected Representatives!

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

While TEA Party folks like myself did protest and assembled all over the country and in DC (and generally left the protest areas cleaner than they found it), while boisterous, we were peaceful.  The Left, seeking “redress”? Not so much:

Two fortunate things came together – I found the charging cord to my Zoom Q4 camera (literally handsized) and found out that it makes a great camera with which to yank off clips from the TV (DVR’d of course) and that US Senator Jeff Flake decided to show up at St Anselm’s Institute of Politics this past Monday Night.  Of course, WMUR just HAD (in their drift leftward) had to cover this “Conservative” who, they touted, derailed the confirmation of Brett Kavanuagh to the Supreme Court (even if just for a little mite of time).  Of course, Flake is all pleased with himself and he made that quite clear to all.  For not much at all, IMHO; let the fisking begin:

We’re getting slammed by ever higher electric bills. Eversource is making huge profits. The Governor?  He collected more than $50K from Eversource and vetoed two renewable energy bills. I’m Molly Kelly and I’m running for Governor because I think that’s got to change. As a State Senator, I stood up to the big utilities. I led the fight to expand clean energy and create jobs. I’m not taking any donations from corporate PACs so I won’t owe them anything. We will stop the corporate handouts and put people first.

Cleaning up my stack of stuff: Why is it always the Socialists that decry “we are the wealthiest nation in history”?

Forgot I had transcribed this from WMUR’s CLOSE UP show (Aug 12, 2018) where Levi Sanders, running to be the Democrat candidate in NH’s Second Congressional District even as he lived in CD-1, said the magic words:

On Tuesday or Wednesday, there will be one of the most important votes in the modern history of this country. And that vote will be whether or not in the wealthiest country in the history of the world, we throw 22 million Americans off the health insurance they currently have.

Yeah, once again – wrongthink.  Certainly the idea of a successful Medicare-for-All (which his Dad’s bill isn’t really Medicare-for-all that Bernie touts but is structured more like Medicaid-for-all and jams down lower payments to doctors and hospitals in order to say “see, we lowered healthcare costs” and caring not a whit about the restructuring again of 1/6 of our economy).  This is just a sidenote.  My real point is this:
