We helped Democrats rack up historic victories in 2018 — taking back the House, flipping key state legislative chambers, and picking up governors’ mansions and Senate seats. The reason we won all of these races is that grassroots donors invested in these races early, and helped build a foundation for victory.

That’s the title and part of the message of yet another email missive I got from the Democrat National Committee (as an Independent, they’ve glommed onto my email address, along with almost every other Democrat group and candidate – DELUGED with email these past few months. Jus’ askin’.  Look, I’m only 1 guy in a very small State with only 1 vote.  So why are the Democrats so hungry and already reaching out?  And it isn’t just from the DNC, either!  Yet:

It sounds like NH’s “Social Studies” is about to get “SJW watered down” again

Used to be called History and separately, civics. How did we get here from back then and how is American government supposed to be organized and run?  Basic issues and basic knowledgebases for any American citizen.  Sadly, our government schools seem to be a poor job of both – after all, ask a young adult the same question we require of LEGAL immigrants wishing to become naturalized Citizens and be prepared for a very dismal experience.  So when I saw this (emphasis mine, reformatted):

December fifth is another election here in NH but to one in which none of us “regular” people get to cast a vote: the important Secretary of State.  Important office – it is responsible for not only the business side of the State (company formations, reporting forms, and the like) as well as the election side (thus, the quote above). In addition, it has been Bill Gardner that has ensured that the NH First In The Nation Primary has stayed exactly that. However, it is that middle part, about elections, that is of most concern here at this time. However, this is an election that is the sole prerogative of our State Legislators – both the NH House Representatives and the NH State Senators.  They, and they alone, vote on the candidates.  This year, for the first time in a long time, there is a rival to Bill Gardner – a craven, self-serving Democrat Colin Van Ostern who decided that this was prime time to go full Political Opportunist and had $250K to spend campaigning for the office.

No one, except Van Ostern,  has faulted Bill Gardner on anything that he has done on the job (in fact, even Ray Buckley, NH Dem Chair, has praised him in the past on his FITN ceaseless work UNTIL he transgressed two Major Pillars of the NH Democrat Party:

It isn’t just about the marijuana tax revenue Democrats desire…

As Steve posted, the reason why the Democrats decided to go all out on legalizing marijuana was not that they treasure Liberty (they don’t) but that they want YOUR money in their Treasury.  It’s one of the reasons I’m against legalization and against casinos here in NH: both do nothing more than act as an expensive facade for bigger, more expensive government leading to more boondoggles and intrusiveness.

Democrat Congressman: Sell your guns to the Federal Government or we’ll nuke you

So, NEVER tell me again that the Democrat / Socialists / Progressives are saying “Nobody is saying they want to take your guns away”!  From back in May and then again in November, this from anti-Second Amendment US Congressman Eric Swallwell (D-CA, San Francisco) started what most of us really know – civilian disarmament IS on the Democrat agenda:

The NH Democrat sweep on Nov. 6th – now we have an economic benchmark

The City of Laconia hasn’t learned that “Hope” is not a strategy

So once again, they go back to the Well of Hope.  This is all about an old time theatre which was very popular back in the day and then went down hill from there.  From vaudeville to a movie theater to a multiplex to being shuttered for now 18 years, the City decided that it was the one that could revive the fortunes of a downtown that they screwed up back last century with “Urban Renewal” – seldom have the storefronts been full for any kind of time.  Instead of learning the hard lessons of trying to be a developer (the stupid project call Lakes Region Business Park which STILL hasn’t sold out the lots after 25 or so years), they decided they could do it again.  Again, on Hope (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Quick Thought on Steve’s post: One of Life’s Certainties – New Hampshire Democrats Raise Taxes

Here. It’s what Democrats do.  Let me remind you of what they did before: they created an $800 million hole in the NH State budget.  They spent everything they could – and then more.  You see, Democrats are:

  • They believe in Government directed EVERYTHING – every aspect of our lives.  That takes a lot of your money to allow them to do that
  • While they are always screaming about separation of Church and State, they absolutely conflate the ideas of Government and Charity.

Why the second? they too lazy to get off their Collective butts to do the hard work of creating charities and then canvassing the public at large to fund them. Government means Ruling and Crowding out private charity. When they talk about Public / Private partnerships, you can always know who is in charge and who is about to be embraced and then absorbed (if not de jure, then de facto).  Government IS Charity and Charity means Government because ONLY from Government can good things flow, according to their actions. And once again, while they’re out putting their sense of a Collective dystopia Utopia in place, they’ll be setting the stage, once again, for broadbased taxes. Which means that…
