As Steve posted, the reason why the Democrats decided to go all out on legalizing marijuana was not that they treasure Liberty (they don’t) but that they want YOUR money in their Treasury. It’s one of the reasons I’m against legalization and against casinos here in NH: both do nothing more than act as an expensive facade for bigger, more expensive government leading to more boondoggles and intrusiveness.
But the other reason? They’re beaming that they’ll achieve yet another Democrat Agenda item at the same! Question E…
They know that if you “out” yourself in going to a legal pot shop to purchase and consume their products, they’ve won thanks to the Feds: ATF Form 4473 which ANYONE that wishes to purchase a hand or long gun MUST fill out and is required if you are purchasing a firearm from a licensed FFL shopowner ANYWHERE (gun shop or show)).
Sidenote: so if any Leftist gun-grabber or politician says that it is easier to buy a gun than XYZ, they’re deliberately lying to you.

Sidenote: Why isn’t that level of taxation that Steve listed in his post being torn apart as “price gouging” as they do to folks that bring in “necessities of life” into disaster hit areas? Don’t they know that people NEED pot to live out their lives? How can these Democrat politicians get away with “unnecessary profit” (as the State IS profiting on the backs of the hard working little people just trying to make a living for doing NOTHING? Oh, just because they ARE Democrat politicians! Betcha the Republican ones would charge you less because they can manage it better (that’s what the RINO big deal is always about, right?)!
