December’s Greatest Hits – And Some Impressive Numbers A Few Days Into 2020

If you missed the top posts for 2019, you can see them here, but let’s not forget December. It was an exciting month for traffic. Five of the top ten, including the four most viewed posts in December 2019, were published earlier in the year.

This is becoming more common. GraniteGrok.com has been around since 2006. In the past 18-months, our traffic has steadily climbed. Both factors have a very positive impact on how well we rank in search. Some stories keep popping up in search when recent news contains similar keywords.

More Great News

For the first few days in January 2020, for example, a post from November on wildfires received nearly 36,000 page views. Why? Australia, brush fires, arsonists, and enviro-groups paying cash for pictures of fires started for that purpose. The post was number three in December and will probably claim number one in January 2020, though that’s not guaranteed.

Our January traffic is already up 150% over last year. It’s an exciting start.

So, here’s to December, and congrats to Percy, by the way, for hitting number one again last month. His is one of a handful of posts from the past few months that keep popping into the top five and earning massive page views in the process. A good title goes a long way.
