Some Thoughts on the HB1264 – Memoranda Filed With the Supreme Court — Part I

vote1Not a comprehensive examination of all memoranda filed with Supreme Court regarding House Bill 1264.  Just some notes I took while reading through them, cleaned up somewhat for public consumption.

SECRETARY OF STATE

The Secretary of State takes no express position on House Bill 1264.  But he appears to agree with the position of the Governor —as I see it— that nonresident college students somehow have a right to vote in New Hampshire and remain nonresidents.  I say this because of the Secretary of State’s characterization of the second question submitted by the Governor:

It’s Still Voter Fraud – Like It Or Not

At least 5,300 of those voters:

  • Can’t legally register their dog in New Hampshire.
  • May not legally obtain a NH hunting license.
  • None of those “voters” are qualified to be called for jury duty in the Granite State.
  • Are paying out-of-state college tuition at NH State Colleges because they cannot legally sign the domicile statement on the NH Resident Tuition Form.

The same number used an out-of-state driver’s license as identification to help NH elect candidates.

New Hampshire’s Bipartisan Cultural Elites

Mr. Trump won the presidency on an issue no one else in the ruling class took seriously. Immigration, border control, and the very definition of what it meant to be American. For years the cultural elites in Washington and across the nation have shared a growing disinterest in the idea of citizenship. Their reactions have run the gamut from patronizing to insults. Republicans pander to narratives while Democrats call them xenophobes, racists, and even white supremacists. Policies and priorities that resulted in the opioid crisis, and a range of national security issues.

Trump won because citizenship means something, and securing that something matters. And when we look at New Hampshire, we have a similar problem just waiting for someone to capitalize on it. “Border control” for voting purposes.

New Hampshire Young Democrats Phone Bank to Protect Voter Fraud

NH Young Democrats Stealing Votes

The New Hampshire Young Democrats Facebook page has a status update seeking help to make phone calls to stop HB1264. They mean to prevent efforts that could stop “out of state students” “from voting in New Hampshire.”

These are the same Young Democrats who will not phone bank to end the injustice of high-priced out-of-state tuition rules which directly contradict their justification for letting those non-resident students vote here in the first place.

Let’s dig into that contradiction, shall we?
