The Vermont Press is “flooded” with stories about the heavy rain and damage to livelihoods and lives as a result. Residents are sharing stories spun by the media with the typical bias, ignorance, and incomplete research we’ve come to expect, especially on weather events.
VT Digger recently published an op-ed by a local left-wing environmental lawyer. You wouldn’t know it unless you went looking, but Joslyn L. Wilschek is a Utilities and Environmental lawyer with a law office in Montpelier, and her op-ed is about (drumroll) the environment. It is also blinkered.
Early in the year, I prepped the battlespace for what typically happens around New England. Everyone yells “drought” and “climate change!” But by year’s end, we have our average annual precip or more. This year has been wet. You could say there’s been a systemic lack of drought.
