Obama’s “Brown Shirts”

“I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”—Barack Hussein Obama

This is beginning to be scary stuff. The President of the nation has us all on a socialist track; He is driving the country into chaos and disorder; too many people do not have jobs;  He is increasing the grasp of government into our daily lives more as each day passes.

So use your imagination here. Ronald Reagan told us early on that,

“Outside of its legitimate function, Government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector of the economy. For three decades, we sought to solve the problems of unemployment through government planning. And the more the plans fail, the more the planners plan. The Government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they know that when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. Somewhere a perversion has taken place. Our natural unalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government. And Freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment.”

A feminist asks, “Which side are you on?”

Ever wonder where all our stuff comes from? Probably not, if you’re blind to reality and totally ignorant about economics. The truefeminist.com video below is exceedingly clear and instructive. That is to say, you don’t have to be a statist idiot to be a feminist. The narrator, Sam Sorbo, is the wife of the former Hercules star, … Read more

Notable Quote: Max Eastman (Socialism Doesn’t Jibe with Human Nature)

“It seems obvious to me now–though I have been slow, I must say, in coming to the conclusion–that the institution of private property is one of the main things that have given man that limited amount of free-and-equalness that Marx hoped to render infinite by abolishing this institution.  Strangely enough, Marx was the first to … Read more

Obama’s move to a more Socialistic state – a warning from someone who grew up in a socialist state

“America’s wealth comes from the efforts of people striving for success. Take away their incentive with badmouthing success and you take away the wealth that helps us take care of the needy. Yes, in socialism the rich will be poorer — but the poor will also be poorer. People will lose interest in really working hard and creating jobs.”

A refugee from socialistic Hungary during the Cold War, Thomas Peterffy knew not just the economic ills of such a system but the moral decay of the human spirit of such a system.  This is the system that Obama and the other Democrat Socialists of America wish to put upon this nation.  Equality is one thing – under the law as the Founders believed true Freedom must have.  But they are looking to have a forced material equality, a forced “opportunity” equality, which forces the State to not promote equality for some but rather, establishes a faux equality by removing that very same freedom from “those that do not deserve it” or from those “that are fortunate” or those “that have more”.  In short, taking from those that have actually used the opportunity that America (til now) has afforded to everyone.

Why socialism SUCKS.

And why you should vote against Obama and every Democrat on November 6th.

Notable Quote: Democracy, Socialism and Equality

“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty; socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude” — de Tocqueville

There is no Forward with Obama (c/o A Notable Quote – John C. Calhoun)

“..as individuals differ greatly from each other, in intelligence, sagacity, energy, perseverance, skills, habits of industry and economy, physical power, position and opportunity,–the necessary effect of leaving all free to exert themselves to better their condition, must be a corresponding inequality between those who may possess these qualities and advantages in a higher degree, and … Read more

It’s Game Time! Romney / Ryan vs Obama / Biden

Romney-RyanWas at another event last nite and was rather tired when I got home so only a wee bit of surfing was done.  I did note that one post (somewhere) noted that a chartered plane had flown from Boston, landed in Chicago, and then made its way to an airport near Congressman Paul Ryan’s home town.  Typical caveat was given – head fake or real?

A Community Organizer? In Paris? Naturally.

Sometimes the New York Times delivers.  I’m not a fan of the New York Times, but I do occasionally peruse its site for interesting tidbits.  Although, most of the time while doing so I find myself reflecting back to the actual usefulness of its well-absorbent newspaper edition (being a dog lover, it came in handy when we had pups), tonight its digital version made me smile.

In reference to hearing about the 75% income tax proposal from their newly hired Socialist French president, things like this echoed through streets of Paris:

“Should I be preparing to leave the country?”

How about a justification for slavery?

Last Friday President Obama gave a speech in Virginia where he said, among other things, “If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own….If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute blog “Ideas” observed that the underlying meaning of those statements is this:

Well Isn’t This Rich. (Or Not, Actually.)

Has it occurred to anyone that the Democrat’s “Tax the Rich™” agenda (coming soon in “Middle Class” sizes) isn’t so much a goal of taking more from those who have more (to give it to those who have less) it is to keep people who are not connected to the government power structure–from becoming rich … Read more

Let’s Play Spot The Socialist Dullard

New Hampshire has it’s share of obvious Socialist thieves.  Democrat candidate William ‘Hud’ Connery is an admitted socialist.  Folks like Catholic Socialist Peter ‘Can’t wait to get Connery on the team’ Sullivan, are a half-shade less obvious; Sullivan is an anti tax pledge guy as well and a supporter of Jackie ‘Tax and Spend us” Cilley so tax and spend or spend then tax are job one–complete with the class warfare tax the rich meme that has become a prominent feature of Democrat rhetoric everywhere you shop for flavorless-left wing political pablum–with a Marxist twist!

So I’m sure this is just a coincidence then, that.. “In 1848 Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels frankly proposed “a heavy progressive or graduated income tax” as one of the  measures by which, after the first stage of the revolution, “the proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degrees, all capital from the bourgeois, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state.”  And doesn’t that just mesh so well with what I just wrote here? and tried to simplify here.

So what about the other socialist hiding in the proverbial New Hampshire bushes?   Now that we have the Outsourcer in Chief channeling Elizabeth Warren, insisting that anyone who is successful didn’t do that on their own, we have another opportunity to play ‘Spot the Socialist Dullard.’  It’s validation from on high for left wing big government pragmatists everywhere.
