Piers Morgan does not like guns. That is okay with me. A great many people in this country do not like guns. Some people from here are particularly noisy about not liking guns. I suppose that is okay as well. What I take issue with are those instances where foreigners step upon our soil, and wag their finger at us, telling how we should not have guns. The right of the people to keep and bear arms is an extension of the natural right to self-defense and a hallmark of personal sovereignty. It is specifically insulated from governmental interference by the Constitution and has historically been the linchpin of resistance to tyranny. And yet, the progressives in both political parties stand ready to use the coercive power of the government to interfere with the exercise of that right by law-abiding persons because of the gross abuse of that right by some crazies in our midst.

Obstinate continuance in a particular course of action despite ongoing and continued opposition encapsulates the very definition of Persistence. Such is the case of Representative Jose Enrique Serrano, a DemocRAT , representing New York’s 15th South Bronx District.
As Fox News Reports, Serrano proposes the constitutional amendment ending presidential term limits. The resolution dates back 15 years Serrano bringing it forth with each foray into public life.

Waterbury Connecticut Police Chief Michael Gugliotti has cancelled the Northeast Gun Show’s January 12th and 13th dates scheduled at the CoCo Key Waterpark Hotel and Convention Center.

Leicestershire, UK. In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 2, Andy and Tracey Ferrie were sleeping in their home when intruders forced their way in. While his wife Tracie called 999, (UK equivalent of 911) Andy Ferrie grabbed his legally-owned break-action shotgun and fired at two of the four home invaders.
The attack was thwarted although Ferrie had injured two of criminals. The four burglars, ranging in ages from 23, 27, 31, and 33, were later arrested at Leicester Royal Infirmary where the injured had been taken for treatment of their wounds.

A Flaming Liberal recently posited this to my friend and colleague Steve Mac Donald:

Two days ago, the Nashua Telegraph wrote an Editorial asking, “Why does the NRA fear truth about guns?” Upon carefully reading the article and researching the sources (or lack thereof) to support the claims made by the Telegraph, the rank laziness, partisan advocacy of gun control, and an utter lack of integrity emerged in the Telegraph anti-second amendment article.
