This story was related to me by a friend. A son of his friend is at the crossroads of life choices after high school. Entertaining the possibility of enlistment in the Army, he decided to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. (also know as them “ASVAB”). With his inclination toward Army enlistment, he subsequently arranged with the Army recruiter to take the test.

With two locations to chose from for taking the test, either Boston or Portland, ME. The young fellow picks Portland. The day of testing arrives

Wrought with fraud and declared upon the graves of dead children and teachers, the Newtown Massacre has been the new genesis for the current debate over citizens right to own and possess firearms. In the current political climate, the quotidian quips of vociferous faux Expositors of anti-gun rhetoric abound endlessly with claims made of whole cloth and cherry-picked facts that belie logic and truth.

On Sunday, February 3, 2013 more than eighty Granite State Pediatricians endorsed an open letter to legislators demanding passage of a cornucopia of gun legislation, perpetuating a plethora of myths, mistruths and confabulations currently being presented as, “sensible gun policy.” The letter, obviously an advertisement paid for by the Pediatricians, and featured in the February 3rd edition of the New Hampshire Sunday

House Bill 576 would establish a “Franklin Pierce Day” in New Hampshire on Each November 23rd…the day following the anniversary of the death of another President. The bill states,

The governor shall annually proclaim November 23rd as Franklin Pierce Day in commemoration of his many accomplishments and service to New Hampshire and his country. Schools are encouraged to commemorate the day with appropriate educational activities.

That is not an apology…that is a bunch of excuses for the bad behavior. That shows me he is strident and lacking any remorse.
