Governor Martin O’Malley Rallies NH Democrats…

Remember when New Hampshire Governor John Lynch slithered off in secret to  Tim Gill’s secret Gay-millionaire-democrat-donor confab known as Political OutGiving?  He wasn’t fundraising, so he said, but ended up with around $100,000.00 in contributions from the attendees (He got the rest of his 2010 campaign cash from Unions and his own bank account).  Well the only other Governor at that same event was Maryland’s Martin O’Malley.

Governor O’Malley probably wasn’t there to “fund-raise” either but given that he was reportedly on the fence about Gay Marriage, and the Gay lobby was pushing hard for a Gay Marriage bill in Maryland, and Governor John Lynch–who was against Gay Marriage before he was bought off by outside money and intimidated by the state party to be for it–the presence of this Democrat couple at the secret Chicago Millionaire Gay donor-confab seemed hardly serendipitous.

Nor does this seem coincidental–the choice of Governor Martin O’Malley to speak to the New Hampshire State Democrat Party convention last Saturday.

Maryland Can’t Pass Same Sex Marriage

Tim Gill won’t be happy. He and Political Outgiving have been pouring money into Maryland and the pockets of its governor, Martin O’Malley, O’Malley was one of Tim Gill’s special guests at last years secret gathering along with our own governor John Lynch. The goal was, as it was in New Hampshire, to buy up local politicians at the state house level and ensure the governor of finanaical support to pass same sex marriage.

Anyone Know Where Governor Lynch Was Last Weekend?

I’m wondering where New Hampshire’s governor was between the 3rd and 6th of March 2011? Was he somewhere in New Hampshire, or off on other business? Maybe dropping off a Hallmark card of thanks? The donors from Political Outgiving ponied up about 10% of the Lynch campaign haul for 2010. Sometimes an email or a phone call just isn’t enough.

More Gay Lobby Lunch Money For Lynch

Lynch has only raised 1.12 Million for the general election with his own loans. Take the loans out and he only has 350,000.00 from sources other than his own checkbook. Thirty five percent of whats left is from one special interest; gay marriage activists from Tim Gill’s Political Out Giving, the group he secretly slithered off to, to give a luncheon speech back in May.

We’ll Have A Gay Old Time

It should be common knowledge that Governor Lynch attended a secret gay-donor confab in Chicago back in May.  But no one was supposed to know.  I got wind of it when I received an article from the Washington Blade questioning the secrecy. (A repost of that blog can be found here)  Only two months later, it is finally showing up locally at the Keene Sentinel.

Of course the Sentinel seemed more concerned with the group and our governor’s evolution on the issue; his shift from what they call ambivalence to outward embrace of gay marriage.  But why not report this meaningful embrace back in May when it happened?  It seems like he could have used a lift after that beating he took from the National Organization for Marriage.  Was it too secret an embrace?  So secret that the no one wanted it known?  Was Governor Lynch afraid to come out of the gay donor closet?

He was, and for good reason.
