We don’t talk much about Libya. You mention Benghazi, and Demedia deflect to any topic, usually Trump bad! For what it’s worth before Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton meddled there, it was a stable autocracy. Not great but stable. Now it’s a violent s**thole where black Africans are sold as slaves.
As the Left loses their collectivist minds over Trump diplomacy in Ukraine let’s not lose sight of something. Marie Yovanovitch was recalled from Ukraine. Under Obama, Chris Steven’s was left to die. Murdered. His corpse dragged through the street by our enemies.
I blogged recently about the Benghazi disaster, about Mark Steyn’s column, and what was said about the column at Cold Fury. I want to re-emphasize it now: We have elected these people to positions of national leadership. Obama twice. Here’s Steyn, from his column, “The Benghazi Lie”:
Jake Tapper of CNN interviewed Pat Smith. She is the mother of Sean Smith, who was a State Department officer killed in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.
I can’t say that I’m the least bit surprised that Mrs. Smith is not all that sanguine about the dilatory dissemination of information coming from the Administration that answers the questions we’ve all been asking about the attack on the U.S. Embassy. The attack that resulted in 4 dead, murdered Americans, including the first Ambassador to be killed in 30 years.
It’s simply a cover up, and it’s disgraceful. To call it anything else is mendacious. And Mrs. Smith knows who to blame: Hillary Clinton (at around 2:16 in the clip).

In light of recent details compiled from State Department and White House emails that show how Clinton and Obama (State and White House) scrubbed the CIA details on Benghazi, it makes all the difference in the world. What started as a planned terrorist attack, complete with al-Qaida operatives in the mix, on 9/11, that killed four–including our Ambassador to Libya–was reduced to a spontaneous riot that got out of hand because of a YouTube Video.

President Obama says Secretary Clinton has been one of our country’s finest Secretaries of State. Huh?? Is the President now smoking something other than cigarettes?
Is the world safer, more peaceful, are threats reduced, is our country more respected around the world, are people more free than they were when Hillary took over as Secretary of State? No, no, no, no and no!

Non-aggressive governments in Egypt and Libya have been replaced, with Hillary’s and Obama’s help, with anti-American governments that want to destroy Israel. Congress is preparing to investigate the Benghazi attack and what lead to the death of Ambassador Stevens and three others. It will also have to follow the trail of ‘cover-up’ bread crumbs left in the two weeks that followed, by which the Administration lied about almost everything, what they knew, when, and why.
The Department of State and Secretary Hillary Clinton have said they will assist however they can, and are responding promptly to witness requests by the Oversight committee.
So here’s my thinking. Given that the Administration and State knew, and what we all now know, if Clinton gets hung up on this does it end her political career? Could Benghazi destroy any remaining interest she might have had at running for President in 2016?

...then why scrub the memo issued by the US department of State, dated September 6th, announcing no credible security threats to our embassies on the anniversary of 9-11? That’s right, a blogger caught the change and posted it.
The US State department issues a memo to its embassies indicating there are no credible threats for the anniversary of 9/11. There are no marines stationed in Benghazi to protect the ambassador. The administration is insiting the attack was some random act of outrage over some obscure six months old you Tube video.
But the Libyan President says he has no doubt the attack was planned months in advance (also here). Al Qaeda is now claiming it was a planned retribution. A Local security official in Libya says he warned the US of the deteriorating security situation 3 days before the attack. Attackers worked in concert, with heavy weapons, knew where to be and where to go. The Serbian consulate wants to know why the Obama administration posted a Gay ambassador in a Muslim country. And now the original State Department memo no longer includes any mention of there being no credible threats, that Al Qaeda was not “plotting any kind of attack overseas” on the anniversary of 9-11.
Attacks on 9/11 we knew were coming, a video no one (inflamed) has or will ever see that inflaming Islamists, dead Americans on foreign soil, and repeated claims that in America, the government can’t control everything that goes up on the internet… Sounds like an excuse for Democrats to argue that the US government Should. … Read more
Like I said here, the Mainstream Media always picks side in the political battles and will pretty much sink to the occasion of “fair and balanced” when spinning what should be straight news. The graphic is right: In LIBYA for gosh sakes, where they just fought a major civil war and things STILL haven’t calmed down, there was no Marine contingent to protect US officials ON US SOVEREIGN SOIL? What first seemed to be a “protest” has turned out to be planned, coordinated Al Qaeda operation over multiple locations?
You know, why is the MSM so taken with what ended up with an accurate portrayal of actual events by Romney and NOT what is important – why was this missed, why weren’t adequate steps taken for contingency planning (if this happens, do this; if that, do plan B – you know, doing some rudimentary “planning?), where was the intel lapse, why was Obama skipping out on his intel meetings, and so on?
Instead of substance, it was ‘surface” – it has all been a cover for Obama via “attack the messenger”? This is not just a #FAIL for the Obama Doctrine and his Administration, but for the MSM for not just doing basic journalism – instead, they go all “opinion” on Romney’s butt as if this was all his fault.

Pointing out let wing hypocrisy is easier than hitting water when you fall out of a boat so when we find an opportunity to point out acts based on some kind of consistent principle it seems only appropriate to reward them with public comment.
