Jerry Thibodeau – interview from our endorsed Candidate for NH Executive Council, District 1

Normally WE are the ones that are doing the interviews – partly because we like to yak, partly because we like to yak with interesting people, and partly because, well, we like to yak.  And in interviews, we love to listen to what the interesting folks have to say.  Sadly, though, with real jobs and even more real lives with stuff that can be put off for only so long, time gets short.  Thus, getting all the interviews we’d like to doesn’t always work out as we’d like.

So, in this case, Jerry was on a public access show, New Hampshire Issues with Peter Martin, and has graciously sent this one over.  It goes, in total, just under an hour so I’ve chopped it up.  Part 1 here and the rest after the jump.

Speaking of that interview….it seems there are some Public Access directors playing dirty pool

About that interview that I just put up; Peter Martin interviewing Jerry Thibodeau, who is running to unseat long, long, long (er, too long) holder of said seat, Ray Burton–who seems to act like he is entitled to it.  While that interview is running in-and-about Northern cable systems (accessing about 19 towns / cities), two folks have decided that THEY have the divine right to not put up the video.  Playing politics, it seems?  You bet!

GraniteGrok Endorsement – NH Executive Council: Jerry Thibodeau

We now switch our attention, and our endorsements, back from the US Congress to NH based races.  Specifically, the New Hampshire Executive Council is now our focus and our first endorsement is for Jerry Thibodeau in District 1 where the aged Ray Burton has been the incumbent since, well, dirt was made – with similar political practices.  The operative question is asked by Jim Pindell:

Might Ray Burton lose his primary?

The answer is that he should!

NH born and bred, Jerry is well respected and long time Republican and former Manchester Republican Chair.  I have talked with him at length and was impressed with his background of going from little to a very successful entrepreneur of a multi-million dollar business.  He knows what it takes from a negotiating side, knows how to read contracts, and knows how to ferret out the details that would otherwise “lopside” a deal against the State.  Having been one that has spent his own money on building his business and signing the front of paychecks, he’ll be watching out for our money as closely as he has his own (instead of doing “favors” and voting to increase the size of government) as he scrutinized the cost of every contract.  Based on his philosophical stances, I certainly would be assured that when it came to appointments for either bureacrats, Commissioners, or judges.

Please note that Grokster Rick gave Jerry his personal endorsement a little bit ago.  The Republican Liberty Caucus of NH also has endorsed him.  Karen Testerman has also endorsed Jerry.

Best of all, he will bring a fresh perspective that has been sorely lacking for a long, long time.  Change for the sake of change is never good – change IS good, however, when it is for a purpose, and that is what Jerry brings to the table.  And never, ever, would Jerry be endorsing Democrats for races like Ray Burton has in which there are Republicans running.

We fully endorse Jerry for Executive Council and ask for your vote for him.

GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries”- NH Executive Council

Going from the top race and proceeding “down ticket” at the event is that of the NH Executive Council and two candidates showed up for that: long time (in the tooth) politician and holder of the seat, Ray Burton) and Jerry Thibodeau who believes that he can overcome this ossified dinosaur and Master of the Patronage handshake (in my opinion) and change the name of the District 1 Executive Council seat back “to the people” (yeah, I’m biased – and have no problem in admitting it – I say what most other won’t DARE to about Burton).  Especially with this:

These were not asked as a member of the New Media.  Rather, they were submitted because I am a Member of the NH GOP State Committee:

To Ray Burton and Jerry Thibodeau (Executive Council, District 1):

Does it hurt the Republican “brand”, in your opinion, when an elected Republican official publicly endorses a Democrat in a race where there are Republicans running?

As in Ray Burton endorsing a Democrat up North?  Like Dick Green (in running for NH State Senate now, who was a member of “Republicans for Lynch)”?

Why does Ray Burton get a pass from other Republicans – and why does Leadership do nothing as the Public looks on (often, with the mantra on their lips “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties”) instead of cleaning up and cleaning house?  Sheesh….

Here is the video of Jerry Thibodeau and Ray Burton:

GrokTV: Conservative Republican Candidate Home Event – Jerry Thibodeau

Continuing on with Conservative Candidates in Belknap County (NH) that were asked to speak at Barbara Aichinger’s home on Lake Winnipesaukee was Jerry Thibodeau.  He is running to oust that ossified dinosaur Ray Burton (an elected Republican official who has no problem in endorsing a Democrat where other Republicans were running).  Here, he addresses those assembled:

Jerry Thibodeau for Executive Councilor, District 1

I  support and endorse Jerry Thibodeau for Executive Council. I speak as me alone and not as the voice of Granite Grok.I personally know Jerry and count him as a close personal friend.

Jerry is a native to the Granite State. He has raised a family, built a successful business and served the Manchester community on many levels. I, in particular,  worked closely with Jerry during his tenure as  chairman of the Manchester GOP City committee. Additionally, I knew Jerry as a board member for the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation, an organization very dear to me. Jerry served there with distinction as well. Jerry is now running for the Executive Council.  He is would make a great Councilor.

GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – US Congress

This past Wednesday nite was the monthly Belknap County Republican Committee (“BCRC”) meeting.  I’ve missed the last few but only because there has been so many different meetings in so many places on Wednesday nites lately, I’ve gone to some of those “one time only’s” vs something that is there like a clock.  This month, however, was different than most.  Instead of the standard monthly mantra of one or two “special” speakers,   it was devoted to giving those candidates that are in contested primary races (i.e., a higher number of Republicans running for a lesser  number of available seats) here in Belknap County.  Each race had all of the Candidates come up and talk, and answer questions from the audience if there were some.  Here is Rick Parent, running to be the US Congressman from NH First Congressional District (his competitors were no shows):

Sidenote: Unfortunately, in what I felt was an overblown adherence to the so-called 11th Commandment (which generally is invoked to protect the guilty by those that can’t stand waves), MY questions were crumpled up and thrown away for being ‘too divisive in a public forum” by the BCRC Chair, Alan Glassman; I will be post them on the appropriate videos so that you may judge…oh heck, here they are:
