Commentary From Crooks On Journal News Gun Ownership Postings

“Having a list of who has a gun is like gold – why rob that house when you can hit the one next door, where there are no guns?” —Walter T. Shaw, Notorious Ex Burglar and Jewel Thief

On December 30, Steve shared with us about the Journal News and its’ December 22nd publication of each and every address of gun owners in Rockland and Westchester Counties, NY…replete with interactive maps. Moreover, Steve provided the names and addresses of the principle players at Journal News.

Steve makes a valid point here:

Because turnabout is always fair play, a blogger went and dug up the names and addresses (phone numbers and other contact info) of the folks at theJournal-News.

On Anti-Gun Zombies And Purposeful Ignorance

“One cannot legislate the maniacs off the street… these maniacs can only be shut down by an armed citizenry. Indeed bad things can happen in nations where the citizenry is armed, but not as bad as those which seem to be threatening our disarmed citizenry in this country at this time.” —Col. Jeff Cooper, USMC, Firearms Instructor, Writer, Patriot

A Flaming Liberal recently posited this to my friend and colleague Steve Mac Donald:

“So tell me, Steve — do we need “open carry” to defend ourselves? Do we need machine guns to defend ourselves? Do we need clips that allow pumping out 100 bullets in a minute to defend ourselves? Do Legislators need to be armed in the State House? Is there no limit to any of it?”

I always love questions such as this. Picture a croissant-eating vegan

The Armed Citizen And Lying Gun Grabbers

”A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”—George Washington

Tiresome are liberals lying and telling people that if they arm themselves, then the criminal is only going to take away the gun and use it on them. Those who perpetuate that, ignore what happens everyday in this nation. The events below are true events that involve real people. Law abiding people going about the business of their daily lives until the point where some criminal interrupts them, threatening harm.

These events are reported at local levels (mostly Newsprint media) and rarely visited beyond that because they

The Nashua Telegraph Has An Integrity Deficit

“There is hardly any mental misery worse than that of having our own serious phrases, our own rooted beliefs, caricatured by a charlatan or a hireling.” —George Eliot

Two days ago, the Nashua Telegraph wrote an Editorial asking, “Why does the NRA fear truth about guns?” Upon carefully reading the article and researching the sources (or lack thereof) to support the claims made by the Telegraph, the rank laziness, partisan advocacy of gun control, and an utter lack of integrity emerged in the Telegraph anti-second amendment article.

The telegraph wrote:

“Faced with government-funded research that contradicts

Gun Confiscation, “Could Be An Option”

“Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”  —George Orwell

In my last post just only hours ago, I posited the notion that Gun Guntrol advocates are, in fact “Coming for our Guns.”

“Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun, but permit it.” —NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo

During a radio interview New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated, “Confiscation could be an option,” referencing semi-automatic rifles, liberals like to call, “Assault Weapons.” Cuomo told WGDJ-AM of his  gun control proposals that he will outline at his State of the State Address on January 9.

Gov. Cuomo said:

“I don’t think legitimate sportsmen are going to say, ‘I need an assault weapon to go hunting.’ There is a balance here, I understand the rights of gun owners.

“Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun, but permit it.”

Governor Andrew Cuomo is a liar. Saying he understands

Legal open carrying of firearms by citizens…

…became the law in Oklahoma on November 1, 2012. World doesn’t end. (Note: Open carry has always been legal in New Hampshire; it is guaranteed by the New Hampshire State Constitution. You can read about that from 2nd Amendment hero Sam Cohen of Pro-Gun New Hampshire HERE.)

Will Terie Norelli And The Democrats Try To Ban My Refrigerator?

My Fridge has a modified magzine in it
Will Demcrats try to ban my ‘Fridge because its got a modified magazine in it?

I think it is appropriate to add this picture (right) to Susan Olsen’s post.  The one with the Journalist’s Guide To Firearm’s Identification.’

This is my refrigerator door.  It was modified by the manufacturer to accommodate an extra magazine capable of holding all manner of ‘lethal’ ordinance.  Soda.  Beer.  Water, in those earth destroying plastic bottles, paid for with a plastic card, slid through a device made of plastic, carried home in plastic shopping bags and yes…that fridge door modification is made of plastic.

Student Loaded With Debt

As tragic as the shooting event in Connecticut was, when you actually look at the data on US Deaths, you can plainly see the totally overblown, reactive tizzy that the American Liberal community, and their lapdogs, the mainstream media, have themselves in.

Using official CDC data, guns are not nearly our biggest problem….

US Deaths in 2009: 2,437,163

Deaths related to injuries: 177,154 (7.3%)

Of these injury-deaths, Poisoning/Drugs accounted for 23.5%, Motor Vehicles 19.5%, Firearms 17.7% (31,347), and Falling (yes, “Falling Down”) 14.4%.

Before going any further, let me point out the obvious fact that….

Jeanne Shaheen Wants to Ban Guns

Tragedy always attracts a parade of progressive mountebanks, anxious to peddle their faulty wares as cures for what ails us, and US Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D- Utopia) is no different.  In response to the heinous criminal acts perpetrated in Newtown, Connecticut she observed that

“We need a comprehensive approach that includes improving access to mental health services, better enforcement of our current laws, and we need to get deadly assault weapons off our streets.”

Whatever you do, do not ask Senator Shaheen to describe an ‘Assault weapon’ because I am reasonably certain her talking points palm card did not include that.

UN Arms Treaty Dead…But Not The Discussion

Gun Rights win - UN arms treaty collapsesI was writing a follow up to our grass roots effort to contact New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte--to push her off the fence, basically, to vote against the UN Arms Treaty.  Senator Ayotte eventually agreed with us and along with Senator Portman–who is typically an unreliable centrist on issues like this–made it impossible for the treaty to get Senate Approval.

Yeah, we were pretty jacked about it.  But not everyone was convinced it was the right thing to do.

Marko Kloos: Why The Gun Is Civilization

Marko Kloos wrote this piece in March of 2007. It is worth sharing over and over. Please enjoy….

"Why The Gun Is Civilization" author, Marko Kloos

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that’s it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

Second Amendment humor, courtesy of the Concord Monitor!

Concord Monitor comes over to our side, approves concealed carry!

This is so funny!  What appears below is a column from today’s New Hampshire government-newspaper, the Concord Monitor. I glanced at the top of the top of the column and though “Hey, great! My friend—the excellent Rep. JR Hoell—has written an interesting piece about 2nd Amendment concealed carry for everyone!” So I happily read the excellent column…
