GOP Voters Are NOT Very Good At Voting

Name something that the most notorious RINO/globalist/corporatist GOP Senators have in common. If you said they come from RED States (RED meaning States that overwhelmingly went for Trump) … that’s a bingo—for example, South Dakota. When you think South Dakota, you think RED, right? Think again.

High-Tax Nikki Haley Is Also Amnesty Nikki Haley Is Also A Democrat Poseur

Nikki Haley is a warmonger. She wanted, as Governor of South Carolina, to shift more of the tax burden to the working people; i.e. her proposal to cut the state income tax and raise the gas tax. And, among other things, she SUPPORTS AMNESTY. According to Miss Nikki, illegal aliens aren’t really illegal because they … Read more

Taking Another Whack at this So-Called Pandemic Amnesty Thing …

The answer is still no. You don’t get amnesty. Your behavior was reprehensible. You’ve damaged millions of people and ruined millions of lives, and when the accounting is done, you were complicit in what may be the single most significant genocides in human history.

“I Have No Pity For ‘Illegal’ Immigrants!”

I have a friend who is a legal immigrant from a country in South America. She came many years ago and likes to share how much hard work it took to earn her U.S. Citizenship. There is a lot of paperwork, she says. But it was worth it. She is very proud.

She also says she has no pity for illegals. None. Zeeerow! “They are Il-le-gal! I don’t care if they are one parent or a daughter, a family, or whatever it is they are doing.”

GrokTALK! – David Bozell on Amnesty, The NSA, and Republicans

David Bozell from ForAmerica is back to discuss the recent 5th circuit ruling on Executive Amnesty. We also discuss lousy Republican leadership in Congress, and Rand Paul being all he can be in his fight against NSA spying.

Extreme Pandering – really? Republicans can’t even master level 1 Pandering.

AmnestyIsRepublicide(Image H/T: Powerline)

It is my belief that any movement on making the actions of illegal aliens now legal will not result in a brand new group of voters for the Republican Party no matter how much the R blowhards in the US Senate (McCain, Graham) would have us believe.  Even the fresh face of Marco Rubio now has some mud on it as he as alternatively tried to parlay his “newness” in the Senate as being a “third way” on making millions of illegal aliens US Citizens.

Sure, I’ve heard the warbling of “it will take them years!”, and “they will have to prove residency!” and of course, the money issue of “Pay back taxes!”.  Eyup!  And yes, “we’ll secure the border or start yet another commission” does NOT warm the cockles ANYwhere in the proximate vicinity of my body.  Right – I have NO hope that anything other than lip service will back up Marco’s claims that ANY of that will be done.  In fact, I posit that our crack TSA security theater workers will catch 100% of all “test contraband” (think: guns, bombs) before these immigration strictures are actually working 100%.

Not my first rodeo here – and I have YET to see My Government keep its promises or properly enforce both the letter and spirit of the Law. Clinton didn’t.   Bush didn’t (and we here at GraniteGrok were part of that effort back in 2006/2007 that help to melt the switchboards in DC).  Bush II didn’t.  And for all of the brouhaha that Obama “raised” deportations, let us not forget three things:

EMail Doodlings – Amnesty by ignoring Congress; Rule of Presidential Fiat

Well, my friend Julius emails me from time to time on various topics just because he knows that I.Just.Cannot.Resist in either to let him grumble a tad (hey, we all do it, right) or he wishes to push a button of mine to see what comes out.  This one, I’m not sure which one he was aiming for so here goes:

Hi Skip – I trust Father’s Day was kind to you, and you didn’t have to work

I have mixed feelings about this article, and was wondering what your take was.  I would normally welcome anyone willing to work and pay taxes vs someone who wants their unemployment benefits extended.  After all, who doesn’t want more workers willing to pay taxes? We can only hope Romney will reduce the 99 wk benefits back to 26…

PS – here’s hoping OH makes progress toward becoming an income-tax-free state.

The link he sent was (in part, go read the whole thing) this:

Obama’s move on immigration is an unconstitutional disaster for the unemployed

President Obama thwarted the will of Congress and shunned the 20 million under-employed and unemployed Americans by announcing he will grant work permits to 2 million to 3 million illegal immigrants.

This appears to be an unconstitutional fiat that not only usurps congressional authority to set immigration policy but directly contradicts what Congress has already decided. The president suggests that his new policy is designed to enact as much of the DREAM Act amnesty as possible because Congress hasn’t acted on its own.  But Congress indeed has acted — three times in votes that rejected granting these illegal aliens the legal residency and work permits that the president now says he will deal out all by himself    Sure, the kids either came here under protest (few kids want to leave their friends behind) or outright dragged with their parents.

Reid Wasn’t Looking To Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

Yahoo! News has a morning headline titled "How Democrats Lost ‘Don’t Ask’ Repeal."  (You can read it here).  It focuses almost entirely on the "Don’t Ask" repeal provision and to some degree on the tactics that epitomize Ried’s Senate antics.  He takes a defense authorization bill, adds Don’t ask don’t tell, then stuffs amnesty for illegal immigrants into it, and then refuses to allow Republican amendments.

The article,  and most of those that I have seen on the subject, all focus on the failure to repeal "Don’t Ask" as if that were actually the point.  But this had nothing to with that. It was a tactical political media ploy.  Think about it.

Green Eggs And H-amnesty

The White house is looking for a way to deem amnesty.  Can you imagine what possible reason they might have to do that?  Think about it.  Seventy percent of Americans, at least 70%, object to amnesty.  They don’t want it.  Seventy percent or more.  So the only possible reason to do it, to pass some executive order or cite some obscure construction allowing them to do it, is to piss off at least 70% of America.  Considering how frustrated we feel already there is really only one reason to do it.

If you deem amnesty odds are good that a few people who have been keeping their powder dry might decide that enough is enough.  Any politically motivated acts of violence (any) could invite the kind of left wing brick throwers and car burners we already encounter at global summits to join in; these folks might see it as an opportunity to make things look that much worse.  I can see them trying to start a race riot.  It would not be the first time.  But riots of any kind, viewed on television, have a strange effect on the people.  So if you push enough folks over the edge, and light a fus,e that might just "demand" some kind ofextended federal action.
