Press Conference: Families of Dead Seal Team Six Members

We’ll be talking about this tomorrow on GrokTALK! – (Podcast is posted on Sunday.) Whether you listen to our dicussion or not, find some time to watch this if you can.  It is long so watch it in segments if you must.  But please try to make time to watch at least some of it.

And They Can All Go Down Together

We should keep track of who among our Democrat ‘friends’ comes to the aid of Hillary Clinton.  It is known that she knew it was an attack not a protest.  A terrorist attack.  It involved al Qaeda.  That there were assets in range to help.  And she did nothing.  Obama did nothing.  Unless orchestrating a cover-up counts as doing something.  For weeks at a time.  On National Television   In ads played in foreign countries.  Even in front of the caskets of those who died as a result of their….um…leadership.

We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing do to with.

Make note of who serves the left’s masters like ideological chattel so they can all go down together.

Video on the jump.

Not quite Jettiness – but I WANT one!

Terrafugia already has a flying car – a startup having done what many more well funded could not.  However, it does look more plane than car.  Now they have a better idea – they are talking about one that comes even closer to a real flying car (more car looking than plane looking).  No, the … Read more

And you think that the MSM is fair and balanced about gun control? Bah! Cokie Roberts shoots that down.

On This Week with George Stephanopolous, the round table turned to gun control and politics.  Mary Matilan, a long term Republican political operative and strategists, said that she had just done something because of how the Progressives have poisoned the debate on guns.  While she is explaining, listen for the word “Good!”.  Yeah, listen to the nervous laughter over the attempt to cover up this “national TV gaffe”.

Cat out of the bag.

Competency counts

Exhibit A.  Barack Obama.  My, he looks so uncomfortable “skeet” shooting (one of those photo-ops trying to show him trying to “be one of the guys”). Then there is a guy who actually knows how to shoot a long gun; of course, it’s the guy from Texas: It was unfortunate how his run for President … Read more

This Week On GrokTALK! – the after edition

While creating today’s GrokTALK! podcast, we had Dean Dr. Julianne Cooper from Liberty Harbor Academy and Josh Youseff who ran for the NH State Senate this last cycle on to talk about education. We ended up talking on a number of issues concerning education and during that discussion, I remembered this post from 2009 about then retiring NEA General Counsel Bob Chanin and read some of his words:

Despite what some among us would like to believe it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about children and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.

…And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year, because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees.

…This is not to say that the concern of NEA and its affiliates with closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, improving teacher quality and the like are unimportant or inappropriate. To the contrary. These are the goals that guide the work we do. But they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights and collective bargaining. That simply is too high a price to pay.

Honor Your Oath rally – Ed has a good summary video

Ed runs GovernmentOversite – a site that is a labor of love in bringing citizen journalism via video to the public by going to board meeting after commission meeting after public hearing.  He was at the rally and here is his compendium of the afternoon: (H/T: GovernmentOversite)

“Honor Your Oath” rally – Closing remarks by Jack Kimball and Jeff Chidester

The last video from yesterday’s Honor Your Oath Rally – which, er, isn’t much of a video.  It seems that the e-Gremlins decided to go nest in my camera for the last part of the rally – the files holding the closing remarks by Jack Kimball and Jeff Chidester got corrupted when I went to do the regular post-prodution processing.  I was able to (sorta) save them, but the video and the audio aren’t sync’d up at all.

So, I present for your listening pleasure:

“Honor Your Oath” rally – Andrew Hemingway, NH State Rep Jane Cormier, Jim Hazard (Oath Keepers)

Honoring your oath – at least on the Right, it is a recurring and important element that seems to be rather out of style with many.  Oh sure, we see the lip service, but how DARE we actually hold them to their word!  Their word, their bond – something that should be so basic, but so old fashion in today’s political environment.  After all, it seems that the Progressive way is “the means justifies the end”.  After all, go READ Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – the Bible for folks like Obama – he is quite honest in saying that Morals are of no consequence in the obtaining in Power.

And when we bring it up and condemn the Left for believing in it, they simply resort to ad hominem attacks – for there is NO logical or intellectual argument that can be made for prostituting your name for some political advantage.  We on the Right see this behavior as disgusting; the Left seems to take it as a badge of honor (er, “I did not have sex with that woman” hasn’t had a deletorius effect on one man’s political correr, right?).

Here we listen to Andrew Hemingway (conservative political activist, entrepreneur, and former Chair of the RLCNH), NH State Rep Jane Cormier, and Jim Hazard of Oath Keepers

“Honor Your Oath” rally – Donna Murphy, NH State Reps. Dan Dumaine and Al Baldasaro

We first met Donna Murphy at the .223 Day of Resistance; she surprised me AFTER she said “One Million Moms” because I thought I knew what was coming next – and got floored with “against Gun Control” – you can see the micro-interview we did here.  Her goal was to have actually had the chance to speak at THAT rally but the speaker list had already been completed.  I have to hand it to her – if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.  And she did – a really big pink sign will most likely get you noticed and it worked with Jeff Chidester!

NH State Reps Dan Dumaine and Al Baldasaro both spoke as well.  As prior Marines, they are not too happy with folks that break their bond as they know that in the situations that faced, someone breaking their word can mean someone losing their life.  Promises made are to be held sacrosanct – they lived or died by that.  So if you think you detect just a smidge (er, boatload?) of scorn for the NH House Reps that violate their Oaths to be faithful to the Law of the Land, THE social contracts that we agree to – the Constitution of the US (and NH).

Still think the Second Amendment DOESN’T exist to protect us from Tyrannical Government?

On a Firefox tab somewhere, I have a couple of posts I wish to comment on this very topic (just can’t seem to find them today) – that America can turn into a Tyrannical Government (especially if Progressives succeed in doing away with the Constitution – the ONLY bulwark we citizens have against an overreaching government.  And within that Constitution is the last resort of Citizens: the Second Amendment.

Think I’m crazy?  Ask someone whose “Democratic government” was overtaken by those that promoted a “safer, more secure” future than the government at the time about  the need for its Citizens to protect themselves – and a Free State:

Progressives often wish that we forget our history.  They also want to us to be ignorant of the history of other countries where their philosophy has been tried before – and failed.  Yes,
