Work Hard – Don’t Whine

Michael Keaton’s Golden Globe acceptance speech has been making the rounds.  The Message?  Work hard.  Be grateful.  Don’t whine.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=AxbLh1VQzfU

Rudy Giuliani call out Obama for being a “coward” over Muslim Extremism

I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” – Barack Hussein Obama, P 261 -“Audacity of Hope.”

Hey, why not when Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General, call us all a “nation of cowards” about not talking about race (even as it is HIS Liberal side of the aisle that excoriates pretty much everyone else that disagrees with them as RACIST! – who wants a “conversation with that singular argument?).  And frankly, Rudy Giuliani is right – you CANNOT defend, attack, and utterly defeat that which you are too much of a coward to properly name?

If you cannot, you only spout hot air, waste money, and put Americans (and our values) at risk.  But then again, Steve’s beginning quote of Obama’s own words pretty much sums it up.

Update – It’s one of those EXTREMELY annoying auto-play videos – watch it after the jump

Nigel Farage, Britains UKIP leader, on the Muslim ghettos

France is not the only European county that has Muslim dominated “no go” zones where not even the police can go – Britain has a lot of problems as well and Farage talks about where Shar’ia law is the law of the land and not British law.  Jihad by demographics and by immigration (and the British … Read more

Are Israeli Settlements the Barrier to Peace?

Are Israeli Settlements the Barrier to Peace? (Prager U) Is Israel’s policy of building civilian communities in the West Bank the reason there’s no peace agreement with the Palestinians? Or would there still be no peace even if Israel removed all of its settlements and evicted Israeli settlers, as it did in Gaza in 2005? … Read more

Jettiness: Water firing dual jet engine Fire Extinguisher

Wow – take the gun off a tank, strap on not one but TWO jet engines, and you’ve got the Hungarian built oil fire killer called Big Wind: Pretty much what it says on the tin, folks. “The Big Wind” is a colossal, roving fire-extinguisher of Hungarian design that combines one part T-34 Soviet tank … Read more

SAU 2 budget finalization

There are a few activists out there that just record the stuff that generally either don’t get covered by the local media or scantily at best.  In smaller towns, this is especially true.  From time to time we get such videos to post – and we’re happy to become a hub where stuff gets such … Read more

Speaking of Ed Comeau…this is GREAT fun!

Like I just said here, ‘Grok friend Ed Comeau (he of the “big honkin’ camera”) goes to a multitude of local and state boards and commissions to record their meetings.  I can tell you with great authority when someone sees that staring at them, knowing that someone is going to watch that video, you can literally watch attitudes and behaviors change.  Change – yes, Ed accomplishes change at  Government Oversite in doing just this.

He also issues RTKs – Right to Know demands under NH’s RSA 91 for when one thinks that someone in Government has pulled some kind of shenanigans. This is the Citizen’s way of going “WAIT A SECOND” – and it can change behaviors as well.  And that has a couple peoples’ panties in a wad (HEH! – reformatted, emphasis mine):

Two men elected to county commission refuse to take office unless protected from Right-to-Know lawsuits

OSSIPEE – The two men elected last month to seats on the Carroll County commission refuse to be sworn in until the county delegation agrees to provide them financial coverage in the event that a Right to Know lawsuit is filed against them.  The Right to Know law covers a wide range of governmental entities such as school boards, selectmen and county commissions. The commissioners’ insurance carrier, Primex, does not cover Right to Know lawsuits. The county commissioners already have one pending Right to Know lawsuit against them as individuals and the county.

Ha!  My first reaction was “don’t do stupid things – and if you see such by those that report to you, expose it!”  And here is where “the funny” starts as it becomes clear that Ed’s reputation rightly proceeds him:

GrokTALK! for the week of 12/20/2014 – The videos

Good thing Steve got the audio right – UStream servers mangled the live stream recording and I’ve had to go back to the plain recording camera here (which is not privy to the phone calls (but you can help us get the BeachTek unit to do so by donating by clicking on the Donate button on the right!).  IF you listen carefully, you can faintly hear Grokster Mike – it seems the Rode mic is good enough to hear the audio coming out of the spare headphones) but you will have to “put your ears on”.  Thus, we don’t have the segments with Dr. Joe D’aleo of WeatherBell.

Short People

This Michelle Obama story about her interaction with a short person is all over the internet today.  Short people, tall people, Target, racism something-something. And this was a hit song a few decades back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1NvgLkuEtkA Can I say ‘how far we have fallen’ or is that vertical racism as well?

GrokTALK! – Republicans Anonymous – The Videos

Yesterday’s GrokTALK! was a FUN show to do – it is a fun time ANYTIME a bunch of Groksters get together.  Serious topics with lots of “Squirrels!!!” and side tangents along the way – and yes, some tomfoolery along the way.  Hey, none of us gets paid for spending all this time so why NOT have a “let the hair down” and “let it all out!” moments?  I’m not even going to try to “label” each segment as too much was covered and, like the ADD bloggers we can be, circling back around.  That’s just life as an “everything is connected” group of political bloggers!

GrokTALK! – James O’Keefe – The Videos

Last week James O’Keefe (founder of Project Veritas, the video investigative site that has bedeviled those that would turn the seams between policy and real world into deep, dark corners) came in for extra segments GrokTALK!.  I do have to apologize – I processed the video then, then got distracted, and then went “Oh Vay!” when I realized this morning that I failed to post them up last week.  Mea Culpas for not doing so.

Greg Gutfeld – The Nanny State Crushing The Individual

Nanny stateDid the nanny state obsession with regulation land crushing the individual kill Eric Garner…

[Greg] Gutfeld argued that comparing Garner’s case to the Michael Brown case was inaccurate, and that “it’s really not about cops versus blacks, but government versus citizens. The nanny state crushing the individual. The grand jury might have screwed up, the tape paints a grim picture, but who knows.”

He added, “the cop wouldn’t have approached Garner if the law didn’t make him. I don’t believe for a moment that any man, even a cop, wants to wrestle a 350 pound man over a single damn cigarette…policing is a series a tough spots requiring sensitive and constant assessment. So, why make it worse with idiotic, stupid laws?

Gutfeld concluded “unnecessary laws have consequences and in this case that consequence was death.”
