…they fashion their culture wars to be cudgels with which to bang Republicans upside the head politically with them? This is not a winning strategy from a former NH Speaker of the House (who, by the way, was elected Speaker only with the help of Democrats). In this video, we see that there is a coordinated strategy to use the culture wars to shape the political war over immigration (emphasis mine, reformatted):
“In a talk given in May 2014 to “social justice” allies in Oakland, activist/artist Favianna Rodriguez explains how tactics from the gay rights movement are being applied in the immigration fight to “normalize” illegal aliens and then are implemented as policy by President Obama.
And this is EXACTLY how the gay movement made their political gains – by gaming the cultural “system”. This is called “shaping the battlespace” – and folks like Scamman believe that the Right should unilaterally disarm. Or in other, more realistic terms, bend over and…
…give up. Lay down. Go French and surrender (which is, pretty much, the agenda of the Republicans in DC like NH’s Frank Guinta and Kelly Ayotte. After all, Guinta’s been all but invisible and all I keep seeing Ayotte do is criticize and scream at real conservatives that have tried to stand up for….wait for it…..the goals and stances outlined in the Republican platform. How’s that all workin’ out fer us for a less intrusive, less freedom sucking, and less expensive government? How’s that $18 Trillion debt going, eh Kelly and Frank? Take any votes lately to STOP any spending?
The video is further proof of the late Andrew Breitbart’s contention that conservatives often lose on political issues because they are completely outgunned in the culture war. Anyone who wants to reverse the direction of the country’s steady slide into a socialist nightmare should pay very close attention.
So what are we to think of those that are all too willing to cede that ground completely? I know the term – “losers“. Perhaps not short term, but as the culture IS being totally turned over underneath traditional American values, which Republicans tout, folks like Scamman should be seen as long term losers.
…As an artist, Rodriguez created the “Butterfly” symbol seen on the shirt she’s wearing. The butterfly graphic is the perfect example of how the Left uses art and culture to promote a policy agency: the butterfly is used by illegal immigration activists as a visual symbol for migration. The goal is to erase the difference beween legal migration and illegal immigration. It’s a classic cocktail of far-left culture tactics: hiding reality through the use of iconography mixed with redefining language.
And it is also being used, tangentially but important, for the normalization of “anti Rule of Law”. After all, illegal aliens immediately break the law upon coming into the country by not following our laws. And then we see our elected leaders pushing this trope as they have enacted Sanctuary Cities and then further extend what used to be privileges and Rights exclusive to citizens to these folks.
You see, Mr. Scamman (former lawmaker), you may pass laws, but if folks are being inured and predisposed to not follow the laws, of what use are you?
