Well, not expressly, but I thought I would have some fun by substituting “pistols-and-swords” for “masks” in the recent Superior Court decision giving the thumbs-up to Nashua’s mask mandate:
Voter Suppression & Intimidation at N.H. Polls
Many of us know New Hampshire is not a home-rule state. What that means is towns and cities can only pass laws that the State says they can. Unfortunately, many government officials either do not know this, or they knowingly violate the law hoping they don’t get called out on it. There is a widespread … Read more
A Different Perspective Regarding What You Read, Believe and Share
I respect the right of everyone to express their thoughts… whether they be right, wrong or misguided. That includes Windham Resident Mrs. Cathy Robertson Souter, who wrote a letter to the local Windham paper last week to warn
University in Maine asks ‘Community’ to Sign “BLM Antiracism Pledge” (So they Can Make a List of Who did Not)
Colleges and Universities are creating lists. No, not the one my title infers, the one that is created from the names of those who do not sign their Black Lives Matter Statement and Antiracism Pledge.
If you March Behind a Terrorist Banner aren’t you a Terrorist?
Have you ever noticed how every time Trump says or does anything the left takes the opposite position, no matter what? When the president reported encouraging results from the long proven-safe malaria drug Hydroxychloroquine, the left immediately demanded testing and prohibited doctors from prescribing it for the flu.
If you’re that scared, just stay home; your fears don’t trump others’ Freedom
Every year, around 250,000 bikers ride into the Laconia / Lakes Region here in NH to blow off steam and have a good time (noted: as the years go by and the grey has set in, the amount and heat of steam have dissipated) around their common interest of bikes.
Do Black Pre-Born Lives Matter?
Pro-life activists were recently arrested in Washington DC for writing “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter” in chalk on the public sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood.
Your First Responsibility is to Your Kids and Government Schools Are Not Your Only Option when it comes to educating them.
I am writing this because I am concerned and dismayed by what I see and read about the state of our families. I’ve read several articles today about the status of the recent panic and “remote learning” and the ongoing back-to-school planning. Frankly, I am just plain irritated at what I see.
School Union Bosses Are Holding Your Children’s Future Hostage
With fewer than four weeks remaining before school begins, union bosses, school administrative units (SAUs), and school boards seem to be conspiring to hold the school year hostage at the price of our children’s future.
The Left Can’t Tolerate People with Opposing Political Views
To The Jim Mayotte family of Sandbornton: I personally understand your grief. Have faith that this act does not represent the majority of us who live in and love our Lakes Region. Readers would not know of your loss or the previous destruction of your property (is this how Portland started?) and that of others if not for these letters.
Kevin Avard – Bob Clegg has my Support
The other day someone inquired of me why do I support Bob Clegg in his race for Executive Council. They knew that I was a devote Christian and were told not to support him “because they are Christian.”
Bob Clegg Was Paid to Lobby Against a Bill to Increase Penalties for Those Who Pay to Rape Children
Bob Clegg is running in the Republican primary against Dave Wheeler for Executive Council District 5. In a report Clegg filed in January with the NH Secretary of State, it shows that in 2019, he and his partner earned $48,000 lobbying for the organization “Decriminalize Sex Work”.
“I do not think it means what you think it means.”
One of my favorite quotes from the entertaining movie, “Princess Bride” is Inigo Montoya’s reply to Vizzini who can’t conceive of any facet of his plan going awry. (Spoilers: several facets don’t pan out.)
Why has the City of Nashua Changed Access to Public Records?
There has been a lot of discussion around accessing public records in the Nashua Assessing Office. Somehow, after the former Chief, Jon Duhamel left, Mayor Donchess, Ms. Kleiner, and Attorney Bolton decided to rethink what is available for immediate public access in Assessing.

NH Senate Turns Their Backs on Women’s Sports
The Democrat-led New Hampshire Senate declined to vote on SB 480, the NH Senate Save Women’s Sports bill, and instead tabled it along with a number of bills they decided weren’t important enough to consider, ending any hopes of protecting women’s sports for this legislative session.
CNN Erases Women
CNN referred to “individuals with a cervix” in a tweet about new guidelines for cervical cancer screenings, and nowhere in the CNN article linked to by the tweet does the author even once refer to women. CNN completely erases women from an article about women’s health.
School Districts are Transforming Public Education in Violation of NH State Law
Governor Sununu has no authority to create positive law, allowing public school districts to transform public education in violation of NH state law. Nor can the governor downshift any unfunded expenses upon the districts to create these alternative learning programs in addition to their normal statutory obligations.
Sen. Cindy Rosenwald: “Yes, yes, yes!” for abortion “access”, “No” to conscience protections
Nashua Senator Cindy Rosenwald is way out there on the extreme end of the abortion supporter spectrum. She is so excited by New Hampshire bill HB 685, which would force everyone who has health insurance in New Hampshire that has maternity benefits also to cover abortion, that she tweeted “Yes, yes, yes!” in support of the bill.
Ok, let’s burn the courthouses
The current complaint from Democrat mayors, Democrat state representatives, and Democrat governors is that the federal government is the root cause of the unrest in their cities. During this unrest, the federal courthouses in Seattle, Portland, and Chicago (as well as other Democrat-run cities) have been under physical attack. Rioters and activists are doing their … Read more
