Regarding the letter by Linda Terwilliger about voting for candidates that support public schools, nothing to see here but gas lighting. I certainly don’t know who Ms. Terwilliger is. I wonder, does she work for a non-governmental organization? The public school system? Who is the “we” she speaks of?
New Hampshire: Entrenching the Purple State?
For the past 20 weeks, NHGOP Chair Steve Stepanek has actively encouraged Elliot Gault to remain both the Executive Director and Assistant Secretary of the NHGOP. The Executive Director is a salaried, hired, non-voting position. The Assistant Secretary is a non-compensated voting officer elected to the NHGOP Executive Committee. NHGOP State Bylaws
The System Isn’t Broken, We Are!
The other day I heard someone say, “our system of government is broken,” and then they went on to point to corrupt politicians who continue to ignore what the people want in favor of special interests or bad ideology, which have been in Washington for decades.
Tim Baxter Announces That He’s a “Hell No” on McCarthy for Speaker
The radical Democrats are destroying this country by rubber-stamping Joe Biden’s Socialist agenda. Chris Pappas, my opponent, is no exception. But, the truth that no one wants to talk about is that we have corrupt career politicians on both sides of the aisle that are destroying this country.
Showing Images of Gun Violence Disrespectful to Families and Friends of Deceased
So I didn’t know that The Daily Sun allowed fictitious names to be signed onto submitted letters to the editor.
I’m Running for NH State Rep in Meredith.
I Can No Longer Be Silent
It is my pleasure and honor to announce my candidacy as a Republican for State Representative in the new Carroll County District #6 serving Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro.
I’d Be a Much Calmer Person If I Just Stopped Reading the WSJ Editorials.
A reply to the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, “The Evidence of the Jan. 6 Committee.” The Journal says its Editorial Board (EB) stands “… against the ukases of kings and other collectivists; and for individual autonomy against dictators, bullies and even the tempers of momentary majorities.” Except for now.
Protect Women’s Sports
I am the mother of four daughters, two of whom, ages 19 and 20, have experience with a transgender athlete on high school sports teams. During freshman year, my daughter joined the cross-country team. She came home and told me that there was a male-to-female transgender athlete on the team.
Common Sense Radio Hosted by Marc Abear – Skip Joins in with Commentary
Once again, was on with Marc (Paul Hopfgarten was unavailable) this morning. A late addition to the line up but it’s a fun show to do – they tolerate me.

Do You Know How Many Americans Have Been Tried and Convicted of Insurrection for J6?
Dear Congressional Leaders from New Hampshire, Do you know how many Americans have been tried and convicted of INSURRECTION for the January 6, 2021 protest? I do, ZERO. Why is that?
GrokGauntlet – It Is Time! And Lots of People to Grill
And this is not just for Groksters and candidates this time around – readers, you have your role to play as well!
In our GrokGauntlets, we DON’T ask the same types of questions that other media journalists ask in their roundtable with candidates. We are Conservatarian political activists, first, that have built up a large mouthpiece in GraniteGrok – and our questions should, quite well, align with our readerships’ political viewpoints that generally do NOT align with most mainstream media. We want to figure out who you are, what you stand for, and how you view politics, how well you are grounded, and get a sense of what you’d do if you win both the Primary and General Elections.
Failing to Pass the Parents’ Bill of Rights Is Perhaps the Biggest Failure
As the 2021-2022 legislative sessions come to an end, some Republicans are patting themselves on the back for outstanding performance. Not so fast! Under Speaker Sherman Packard and House Majority Leader Jason Osborne, the NH House failed the fundamental building block of our state and our nation.
It’s Filing Season for Elected Offices. Look within Yourselves and Ask “I Should Be Making a Difference, Right”?
June 1st through the 10th is “Filing Season” in New Hampshire. It’s when you have that short window of time to decide (if you haven’t thought about it yet – and you should have if you’ve been reading GraniteGrok!) to run for elected office.
Quick Thought: About Schools, Bug Spray, and School Approved Minor Children’s Sexual Identity
We got an email from the Grandson’s kindergarten about this coming week. In it were some instructions for the rest of the school days: We will be enjoying lots of outdoor learning this week so please have your child wear sneakers every day and put on bug spray at home. We cannot apply lotions or … Read more
So, Hillary Seeger, What Is That “Severe Misinformation about Gunstock” about Which You Accuse GraniteGrok – And Me?
I’ve been collecting a bunch of LtE’s (Letter to the Editor) from the Laconia Daily Sun. Having built up quite a number, it’s time to start answering a few. This one is from Hillary Seeger (see below), a veteran and was (is?) quite active in the Laconia Veterans of Foreign Wars – this day, Memorial … Read more
What Happened in the NH House Should Be Investigated
[Background if you haven’t been reading GraniteGrok: before the vote in the NH House on Thursday, NH Governor Chris Sununu made it clear that he was siding with the Democrats against the Republicans – and Parents – on HB1431. -Skip] The two Republicans (not Democrats) who spoke first and urged NO votes on the Parental … Read more
Bette Midler, the Mouth That Roars
At this point in 2022 with elections looking to go very red in November the left is getting increasingly desperate. Celebrities seem near panic as evidence (has been) star Bette Midler, trying to be relevant, has reportedly urged demonstrators going to protest at the Republican National Convention “to go armed”. And here I thought Bette … Read more
Russia Plows Ahead
So the Russian military continues the war in eastern Ukraine, inching slowly forward, while Putin forces Europe to continue to buy his oil. Russia has accused Ukraine prisoners of being Nazis and threatens to try them for war crimes. Pot calling the Kettle Black, it seems to me, especially with no specific “crimes” other than … Read more
