Enemies, Domestic…

This pregnant pause, so obvious, and apparently so difficult for President Obama, is a blatant secular edit of the US Constitution.

All government officials and public servants are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  Obama is closing in fast on qualifying for the latter status, with this (intentional?) gaffe.

Watch his facial expression, and his eyes, when he skips "…by their Creator…".  So painful to see.  So heartbreaking to know that we are up against this sort of mentality.  Obama’s world does not include the accountable individual, with natural rights, given by a higher order (or Creator, or God, which ever you want to use), not by man, or by Government.  These natural rights, not coming from man, cannot be taken away by man.

Email Doodlings – The Right should not cede the Social Issues to the Left as they end up being Fiscal Issues and Public Morality

Yet another email thread where I spent time discussing / emailing instead of blogging. The context started off talking about the "Bathroom Bill" that the Democrats tried to steamroll through here in NH as a sop to the LGBT (er, what initials did I deliberately forget this time – I’m JUST so un-PC  <smirk>) haters (hey, they use the word for just about anyone that says the slightest thing in disagreement with their social agenda; I refuse to cede the use of that word to them anymore).  Rightfully so, that bill was critized highly for being a social issue instead of addressing the main NH issue – the fiscal black hole that the Dems were casting the State into. And being a Conservative, fiscal and social issues concern me and I believe that this subset of an email thread shows how a concentration on a purely Fiscal Issue theme to lower spending can actually be self-defeating.  Plus, I have no intentions of allowing the Progressives sole purview of setting the Public Morality, without a fight, that they will force me to change my private morality.  They’ve been doing it for decades (if not for a century) drip by drip; it’s time to plug that hole.

It starts with this (Tell me what you think, will ya?):

Sometimes there is a lot of heat about bills that don’t matter (like the ‘bathroom’ bill) and now the budget looms.  The NHGOP should have been talking about the budget since day 1.

What’s wrong with this picture?

China has now overtaken Japan as the world’s second largest economic power.  The news came with the inevitability we have come to expect, given their record of 10% annual growth. This rise from poverty has never been equaled in world history. Two hundred years from now, historians will remember this as the most important event of our times.

At almost the same moment came the news that Germany’s economy is charging ahead, growing faster than any other European economy. It is being powered forth by the reforms they have undertaken in the last five years. Those reforms ditched the old European social welfare system in favor of smaller government, lower taxes, less regulation and more market freedom. Germany is no longer the sick man of Europe.

(Indeed, in recent days the Cuban government has announced that they will be laying off more than one million government workers while loosening restrictions on the private sector, and the Swedes have voted in a center right government with the same goals. The private sector has been asked to shoulder a greater role in the provision of education, health care and welfare services. The move to the right is also evident in Britain, Norway, Denmark and Finland.)  

And yet here in the United States, we are looking at the prospect of continued economic stagnation, fearful that we will continue to lose our manufacturing base while or infrastructure deteriorates, and less confident than we have ever been for our children’s future.

How To Save The World–Vote Out Democrats

The economic relationship between government, the private sector, and the people, has been the object of much debate as democrats try to convince people that spending trillions we don’t have has some kind of payoff at the other end. The fact that we can’t see that "end" and none of their predictions have come true fuels the fires of the opposition while encouraging proponents to claim we just need to wait a bit longer–or spend a few trillion more.

Carol’s New Groove..(same as the old groove)

Comrade Carol Seiu-Porter has a new video out spotlighting how good she is. It’s quite a piece of work, let me tell you.  My favorite part is at the end when the voice over says, "and whether it’s popular or not, she always fights for what she believes in."

Talk about irony?

Health Care?  Cap and Trade?  The stimulus?  Cash for Clunkers?  Home Affordable? The trillion dollar budgets?  Lip service to pay-go?  Carol?  What have you fought for that the people of New Hampshire would consider popular?  I can’t think of a single thing.  And no, we can’t just count the lumps of un-aborted tissue running the New Hampshire Democrat party, and their fellow travelers, I mean the entirety of your district.

So while I agree that that is the one true statement in your ad, its a bit misleading.  It should probably say..Carol knows that everything she believes in is unpopular, but she votes for it anyway.

And yeah, we could spend eternity covering the ins and outs, like how Carol can’t really even be voting based on what she believes in becasue you have to read the bills to know if what you believe is really in the bill.  That dissolves the context further to the point where Carol is voting for what she has been told is in the bill (that she believes in.)  And since Carol  only voted with Nancy Pelosi and the Party leadership 98% of the time because she missed 2% of the votes, we can further define the relationship as follows:  Carol votes for what Nancy Pelosi tells her she believes in.

That’s not a congressman from New Hampshire, that’s Nancy Pelosi’s Federal representative to New Hampshire.  She might as well be appointed as elected.
