New Hampshire’s troubled Governor can add yet another failure to her policy quiver.  And it’s a big one.

The Democrat controlled New Hampshire House had more than enough votes without any cover from the reliable RINO’s to pass Medicaid Expansion.  The Republican Majority State Senate appeared willing to make a deal that would have locked New Hampshire into the Obama-Care provision to expand Medicaid, while giving cover to years of partisan democrat support for the health Care overhaul.  All Hassan had to do was make a very short reach toward a body that was already standing on her side of the aisle…and she F*****d it up.

She touched it and it all went to crap.  I confess that it is one of the things I like most about her.

Presser: “I fully intend to support the Senate plan during the Senate Session on Thursday as I know it meets our shared goal of increasing access to coverage while also taking vitally important steps to protect our taxpayers from the failures of ObamaCare”

Thoughts:

• You ARE voting to implement an aspect of Obamacare tomorrow – as Medicaid Expansion was a fundamental linchpin that Obama wanted to get more people covered under a Federal Government mandated and regulated “universal healthcare”

• Simply banking on the phrase “we’ll do this using private insurance” only changes the mode of delivery – the mode of payment is still Federal Medicaid Expansion money

• Tell me, Senator, you took an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution – where does it say that the Federal Government is responsible for your healthcare and mine?  Or is the US Constitution of that little concern (and yes, it is time we all start looking at it again and ask “Is this allowed)?

Final summary thought:  So, we have to implement Obamacare in order to save ourselves from it?

Provided by Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo), you can’t have a Free Market when it is a Government spawned entity.  But there is a word that describes that spawned entity (emphasis mine, reformatted):

Yes, let us call something that isn’t, Obamacare, a free market.  This is supposed to make the Progressive medicine go down easier – blame capitalism for the wrongs of a Government operation.  Blur the lines, blur the distinctions – there IS no difference from what Government is and what is not.  It’s all “US” is what the redefinition is trying to do.  This is a very conniving, Progressive political pronouncement to do a misdirection:

Hospitals spend more than $40 billion a year doing so. Doctors generously provide billions of dollars worth of free or discounted care to those who need help. Taxpayers fork over $415 billion a year so Medicaid can provide health care for the poor, and another $500 billion for Medicare. There’s the VA for veterans and various state-run programs as well.

So there is this letter that liberals are sending around to some state representatives this evening (not me, because I am probably a lost cause to them) trying to persuade them to vote for ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion. It is interesting to see what they are saying and then the facts:

Claim:
As a New Hampshire resident who cares about cancer, I am writing to
urge you to vote in favor of legislation that would authorize our state
to accept the federal dollars to improve access to health care coverage
for 58,000 Granite Staters.

Facts:
Actually the net increase in coverage will be many fewer than 58,000 receiving health care coverage who don’t have it now and that increase of 58,000 going into Medicaid is being achieved in large part by making private insurance unaffordable to many more who could afford it before the ObamaCare private policy mandates come into effect. Those who don’t have insurance now and will gain access to heath care coverage will do so though Medicaid, which is a dangerous way to get health care coverage; in fact it is worse than having no insurance when you go into the hospital.

This should be done in a SNAP (oh wait, that’s “Food Stamps”).  We have been told, over and over, that PROGRESSIVE Govt (activist govt that runs everything and everybody for our own good) is best!  Run by all kinds of experts and technocrats that know how to make things run perfectly in perfectly non-partisan fashions.  Of COURSE, we software folks all know that it is ALWAYS the front end of a project that takes the 3.5 years to write (/sarcasm).  We were led to believe by Progressive Obama, Progressive Sebelius, and all of the Progressive underlings that Healthcare.gov “was almost all done – just tweaking now”!  Functional by Nov 30 by 80% of American citizens (even though the Experts promised an Oct. 1 complete date).

Sure it works (/more sarcasm) – but nobody can pay for the plan that they might be able to see as long as their personal data doesn’t get hijacked and the right subsidies are presented for the correct pricing (er, that still isn’t working either?).  But not to fear, PROGRESSIVES reason d’etre is government by Experts – in all areas.  Including, I guess, lying by commission (er, Obama and that whole “keeping” schtick) and lying by omission:

We’ve been going on a lot about Medicaid expansion in New Hampshire, and why shouldn’t we?  Both sides are dickering (yes, I actually said dickering) over how to accept other people’s money so that they can then dicker over how to take ours, all in the name of helping people.
