According to the Institute for Justice, New Hampshire seizes an average of $900,000.00 dollars a year in private property under Civil Asset Forfeiture laws, which give law enforcement the power to permanently seize and keep your cash, cars, property, any asset at all, by simply claiming that it is suspected of being involved in a crime.

You do not need to be charged with a crime nor go to trial.  Law enforcement can seize your property; take your car, kick you or your family out of your home.

“among state prison inmates who possessed a gun at the time of [their] offense, less than 2 percent bought their gun at a flea market or gun show.”

Which says that the Democrats behind HB 1589 only purpose is to CONTROL people – not guns.  Gun show loophole, gun show loophole, gun show loophole.  That’s all we’ve heard the last couple of years as if it was a GIANT problem.  Two percent says says Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns (whose members commit more gun crimes than concealed carry permit holders), Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (who are willing to falsify the truth and contextof pictures), and Americans for Responsible Solutions.  For probably NOT the last time:

• There is no “gun show loophole” -Federally licensed dealers must and DO obey all Federal laws in doing background checks
• Those laws do NOT apply to private citizens – no matter WHERE they are.

You all just continue to prove to the rest of us that:

• You don’t trust ordinary people – that everyone’s actions must be approved and vetted by Government
• just show that the Right to Private Property doesn’t exist in the Progressive World

“NBC does it again, this time through a Miami affiliate that broadcast a graphic (see above) that read: “Reprehensive Party of Florida.” You have to ask yourself what kind of culture there is at NBC News that makes staffers believe that dehumanizing Republicans in this way is okay. This isn’t a one-off. It is a troubling pattern that just never stops.”

Yes, the “objective” journalism shows it isn’t.  Oh, they say the words, but after years of watching, the slanting against Conservatism is revealed by the framing of stories and packages, the stacking of the deck in having pro- and con- voices weighing in, and the stories that get no coverage at all.  Frankly, think of them as the Obama equivalent in journalism – “faithfully executing” the law the stories that advance an ideology and ignore the others.

It’s often not much better in the Educational-Industrial Complex where the taxpayer supported denizens seem to have fallen in line with the Democrat / Progressive knee-jerk reactions to political outlooks that vary from their MotherShip – this from my local issues blog, GilfordGrok (once again), when voting was conducted at our middle school:

Breitbart is reporting that Karl Rove’s phalanx of Tea Party hating political projects has seen an 98% decrease in fundraising since he “officially” raised his flag against the movement.

As Politico notes, though, “Rove added a third group to the network in 2013, forming the Conservative Victory Project to counterbalance the influence of Tea Party and conservative grassroots forces in GOP primaries.”

Since then, as Breitbart News reported, “Rove’s organization has been so tarnished among the conservative base that candidates fear donors will not contribute to any group associated with him.” Aware of this, Rove’s Crossroads network has reloaded with groups that share donors but are technically not affiliated on paper with them.

Rove’s Conservative Victory Project, whose only goal is to defeat conservatives, is doing the Hillop Public Solutions jig–creating additional groups with no direct association, but run by Rove’s people and fed from the same pot of cursed gold.

New Hampshire Democrats cried like lost children when the O’Brein legislature cut some of the public funding to UNH, as did UNH (naturally),  so one of their first priorities for teary-eyed Democrats when they took back the House was to waste 25 million dollars of our money by giving it back to UNH.

The emotional narrative for justifying a 25 million dollar hit to taxpayers in a stagnant economy was so they could give it to the deep-pocketed UNH, was to insist we had some kind of collective obligation to students and higher education… or something.

There is a bill right now in play. HB 1589…and amended version. The bill seeks to require all firearms in this state to be sold or transferred through a licensed firearms dealer and provides for a criminal penalty for a violation.

Deception abounds. These folks use the word “background check” implying that all kinds of guns change hands in commerce without some kind of check in place.  Second, this bill and its sponsors, subtly imply through this bill that all gun owners possess some requisite criminal intent; Subterfuge for the trading in illegal guns. I am not going to use the words, “Background Check.” It is a phrase co-opted by anti-gun left and I reject it.
