Even Politifact Can’t Create Cover for Hillary’s Latest Lie…Yet.

Brian Williams, Hillary Clinton, Liars, Trump, ISIS< Muslims, Recruiting

The Pantsuitress (That could be a Hillary Clinton super-villain name) lied again last Saturday. She stated that Donald Trump’s words about Muslims are being used by ISIS to recruit. It is not true and even Politifact has had to admit as much.

But is that the story? Is another Hillary lie news or is the story how her remarks may have aborted the newest Democrat prevarication by plucking it from the womb before it was “viable?”

Notable Quote – Harold Demsetz

Woodrow Wilson fit this mold.  The Socialists of the Frankfurt School did as well. Beware the intellectual who seeks power over our decisions and over the persuasion to which we can respond, especially when he seeks this power to prevent us from doing what he thinks we should not desire to do. – Harold Demsetz (“The … Read more

Data Point – households in the US are richer

A smaller percentage of “the poor” A slightly smaller percentage of “the middle class” A much larger number of households (3X ??) at the top end. Looks like, all pundits and media aside, the US is richer now than what it was in 1967. (H/T: Cafe Hayek)

Notable Quote – Chan

From Weekend Pundit (emphasis mine): Voters are furious that Washington is ignoring them. The anger cuts across all party lines as a majority of the electorate think the US government is focusing on trivial matters rather than what Americans see as important – the looming threat of ISIS, a continually weak and handcuffed economy, bogus unemployment … Read more

NJ2AS to NH – Beware NJ Governors Bearing Reports on Second Amendment Issues

NJ2AS

The New Jersey Second Amendment Society has issued a formal reply to the recent press release and report issued by Gov. Christie on firearms purchasing and permitting in New Jersey. They ask that the people of New Hampshire not be fooled by this move. Here is their formal statement in response.

Following the death of Carol Bowne, a report detailing the recommendations of a special commission convened by Governor Christie has been released regarding second amendment issues in New Jersey. In this report, the direct activism of NJ2AS volunteers in various New Jersey police departments was cited. As stated before, the NJ2AS will no longer chase government for answers in hearings or meetings, or participate in senseless protests or petitions – we will only engage in direct, damning activism that captures the tyranny of our state and FORCES a response FROM government TO us. Unfortunately, the report itself is little more than a campaign distraction with very little substance.

ISIS Recruitment Video Includes Image of…Bill Clinton

File this under “Bwahahahahaha!” [wpvideo uidShgul] Daily Caller  |  A four-minute video released by ISIS last month, entitled “No Respite,” includes an image of Bill Clinton, who is called a “fornicator” — a reference to his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, among many others. Would any of Mr. Clinton’s many female defenders and … Read more

Fergus Cullen Wrote a Book And I bet it Sucks

Free Manure
Not actually free, but you get the point.

Trees were killed unnecessarily to create Fergus Cullen’s doorstop, Granite Steps. It’s an ode to the politics of New Hampshire’s First in the Nation primary as told by the man who bankrupted his own State party and escorted it out of power and in to obscurity. No, I have not read it. If I found a copy at the dump I wouldn’t waste part of my life to pick it up, let alone read it.

Here’s the hard data from Amazon.com

There are two reviews so far, and they are telling.

Rights and Liberties in Obamistan

White House

Former Department of Homeland Security investigator turned whistle-blower Phillip Haney sat down for an interview with Ginni Thomas. Haney describes his job, and what happened when Obama’s Civil Rights storm troopers came calling.

Back in 2012, seven officials from the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division (CRCL) found Haney’s work objectionable, leading to the 2012 effort to close his work down as the civil rights of foreign nationals could be violated.

“The administration was more concerns about the civil rights and liberties of foreign Islamic groups with terrorist ties than the safety and security of Americans,” Haney says.

I Just Saw The Force Awakens…

If you’d like to know my opinion of Star Wars ‘The Force Awakens’–no spoilers, not to worry–after I walked out of the theater at the end of the movie…I was willing to buy another ticket and watch it again. I liked it. I liked it a lot.

Communitarianism vs Free Market

Crony CapitalismYes, once again I trekked over to Treehugger for a post that complained that IF Congress failed to renew the wind and solar tax credits, up to 100,000 jobs would be lost.  Well being the Free Marketeer that I am, I could not let that go and waded into the comments.  A couple of them here (emphasis mine).  For instance, the first one starts off on what seems to be OK – and then tanks:

Distortion is the idea behind subsidies. Never should an industry that is doing well and can continue on their own receive a subsidy. Instead industries that we want to have grow and flourish get subsidies.

And I could not wrap my mind about this next point:

Good question – go ahead gun grabbers, what’s your answer?

If advocates of stricter gun-control regulations are correct that easier access to hand guns necessarily leads to more violence committed with guns, why do we never hear of mass shootings (of people) at firing ranges?

Yes, there was the killing of Chris Kyle at a gun range.  That admitted, this question speaks to the normal operations at ranges rather than this unusual exception.  I’ve been to the range plenty of times and I find it to be one of the safest places to be.  EVERYONE is concentrating on safety because everyone knows that a lapse of focus can create a real bad day.

An observation on the state of American Education from a comedianne older than I

I read Powerline almost every day and on Fridays there is a post from Ammo Grrrll.  Usually a satirical post about something, I may not always LOL but I do oft smile at both the topic and how she treats it.  This one, however, wasn’t all that funny and cast a serious light as to why our stagnant and inertia bound education system fails – and refuses to see itself failing.  It’s not anything that I haven’t said or written previously; she just does a better job (emphasis mine):

THOUGHTS FROM THE AMMO LINE

Year after year here in our Dusty Little Village (DLV), the education establishment puts an initiative on the ballot to increase property taxes for schools. For eight years and counting, it has failed. It will fail again.

Most of us Geezer-Americans have scant interest in donating even more to educate half of Mexico or to fund all the Diversity Drones and special programs whose gentle ministrations crank out the annual crop of psychotic ninnies infesting our colleges.

It seems this is a feature, not a bug: Yalies sign petition to repeal First Amendment

Absolutely gobsmacking!  Here ARE the Elites-in-waiting at one of the most prestigious school in the world and here in America.  One would expect that these wonderkids would “get” our history, given how many Presidents, Congresscritters, and Supremes (and others in lofty places in American society) it has graduated.

Micro-aggressions, safe spaces, ability not to be challenged, trigger warnings – er, nope:

These precious snowflakes;  so blithely done! Meltdowns in 3…2….1 when these vacuum heads hit the real world and it sinks through that we don’t give a crap how insufferable and fragile your emotions are.  It does show, however, how far the Leftist rot that has so infiltrated
