Organ Harvesting is Back in the News…

What do Planned Parenthood and ISIS have in common? Organ harvesting. Yes, organ harvesting is back in the news. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Islamic State has sanctioned the harvesting of human organs in a previously undisclosed ruling by the group’s Islamic scholars, raising concerns that the violent extremist group may be trafficking in body parts. Marco Rubio keeps accusing Ted Cruz of immigration malfeasance

Well, Rubio’s actually accusing Ted of being in the same dumpster, trying to rope him into being with him on Chuckie Schumer’s Gang of 8 illegal immigrate Amnesty bill.  Well, one person that has led the fight AGAINST the illegal immigration / Open Borders / Cheap Crony Capitalism labor attempts that Rubio (twisting on his former … Read more

“Is Marco Rubio Getting Outworked? “

The Corner: It’s a question a lot of people are asking, most recently, a couple of Washington Post reporters, who add a little bit to a piece we published here at National Review a couple of weeks ago. Rubio’s critics, who include some of his own supporters, are making two claims: first, that his ground … Read more

Bet on it: Hillary WILL continue to make companies subjugated to The State

hillary_orange1Hillary is a statist, through and through.  She is the epitome of such – ONLY Government (and those employed by it) can effect good and it MUST be in charge of all aspects of our lives.  Even when it is obvious that Government has screwed up and made things worse.  Instead of leaving well enough alone, learning its lesson, and let perfectly reasonable adults make their own decision, I am betting that this will turn out QUITE badly.  Notice what she DOESN’T say? Emphasis mine:

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton belatedly acknowledges that Obamacare, a.k.a. the Affordable Care Act, gave employers an enormous incentive to move their employees from full-time to part-time:

“That’s why they’re going to part-time, that and also the Affordable Care Act. You know, we’ve got to change that because we have built in some unfortunate incentives that discourage full-time employment. A lot of employers believe if you don’t work 40 hours a week, you don’t get benefits, and that includes you don’t get a health care benefit; that might include you’re not eligible for the Family and Medical Leave; you’re not eligible if they have paid sick days. So there is a disincentive within our system that we need to deal with, and I’m really worried about it because there’s a trend to try to move more and more people into part-time work.”

The whole idea to redefine what full time work was is a decision by Democrats, to define it downward to 30 hours/week, for the purposes of Obamacare.  It was MEANT to make it so that companies HAD to pay for additional benefits they otherwise would not be on the hook.  Democrats were quite proud of this fiat decision, never thinking that the private sector would NEVER react to it.  That’s the Progressive mindset / worldview:

Democrat Virginia AG just ideologically nuked out of state concealed carry reciprocity

holstered-gun1All by his lonesome from his perch in the Executive Branch. If you are from the States where your CCW was formerly recognized by Virginia, yer outta luck (emphasis mine):

Virginia attorney general Mark Herring (D, in case you were wondering) has announced that he will be severing Virginia’s firearms license reciprocity agreements with a slew of states. Herring, a Tennessee native who now resides in Fairfax County and enthusiastically accepted contributions from anti-gun plutocrat Michael Bloomberg during the election in 2013, apparently wants to do all he can to cut down on the number of Virginians and others who can legally carry a concealed firearm in the Old Dominion. According to the Washington Post, the list of states that have had the agreements severed include . . .

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The Corner had something in its post on this that caught my eye – and something that I’ve been blogging about for years:

NH High Court Upholds UNH Termination

one does not simply fire a unh professorAt least we know what a UNH professor has to do to get fired.  “Last December I had what I can only say was an emotional breakdown and I did a terrible thing,” (Marco) Dorfsman said in an email sent to colleagues on April 19, 2013. “I lost my judgment and in a moment of great stress I tampered with a colleague’s student evaluations.”

The University of New Hampshire invoked moral turpitude and fired the lout. But one does not simply fire a UNH professor.

Does this make Bing Crosby an enabler of racism? Sheesh!

This really is the evil confluence of political correctness, racism around every corner and thing, and the obvious failure of our educational system.  Seriously, “White Christmas”? Is nothing sacred anymore?  (H/T: The Blaze)

Well, far be it for us to make Jeb! feel uncomfortable being #1!

I just shook my head in disbelief at what Jeb Bush said about his current polling position: “I feel much better back here” in fifth place polling single digits than I did as frontrunner Think about that hard.  He LIKES being in the pack and not leading the pack? You know, EVERY competitive person I … Read more

Marco ‘Big Brother’ Rubio’s Secret Money Group Hits NH Mailboxes with Snowden Mailer

Rubio Surveillance

The Conservative Solutions Project dropped a campaign mailer in New Hampshire this week. Edward Snowden is the hammer and Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Bernie Sanders are on the anvil.

What does it attempt to teach us about them? Ted Cruz has not branded Edward Snowden as a traitor for exposing NSA spying on everyone and everything. Cruz has concerns about constitutional protections as does Senator Paul, and Senator Sanders has stated that Snowden’s antics played an important role in educating the American public.

So what? The Conservative Solutions Project, which has ties to Conservative Solutions, a Rubio Super PAC, is a secret money group. Can you taste the irony?

I see How This Works….When Violent Crime Ebbs, Democrats Leap To Defend It!

Gun control versus homicides

c/o Powerline

A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE ON HOMICIDE

The Young Conservatives Instagramed this graphic a couple of days ago. I haven’t verified all the numbers, but I checked most of them against FBI data and they appear to be correct. The chart puts current hysteria over homicide and firearms into perspective. The left axis is homicides per 100,000 Americans:

… so the left’s angst is actually tied to the decrease in homicides? When violent crime drops, it is time to disarm everyday Americans.

NHRTL Victorious in Suit Against NH DHHS

CONCORD, N.H. – On Tuesday, December 22, the Strafford County Superior Court ruled that New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services should not have delayed releasing documents under a valid “right to know” request from New Hampshire Right to Life.

The documents in question related to the licensing of Planned Parenthood’s distribution of the abortion drug, RU-486 and FDA safety protocols required under NH state law.

So, the DC Republicans do this in my name? And you have to ask why I am leaving the GOP?

Breaking: Omnibus passes House 316-113; Update: Senate approves, 65-33

Ahem. It doesn’t take much leadership to push through a bill that the opposition supports and that Obama wants to sign. John Boehner could have done that. The huge expansion of H-2B visas alone should have killed this bill, especially with millions of American workers still sidelined from the Great Recession. …If anyone wonders why a demagogue like Donald Trump can dominate the Republican presidential primary race, this is Exhibit 492B.

Kelly Ayotte voted for it.  Frank Guinta against it.

Last week, the DC Republican Leadership demonstrated why they are feckless and why they are no longer deserving of our support (re: our votes).  Pretty much, it’s the same thing here in NH where the Concord GOP Mafia dons want our votes and then just want us to shut up.  Campaign promises?  Check.  Soaring rhetoric?  Well, no, but close enough – check.  Lots of requests for our money?  Check?  Great talking points about how Democrats are bad?  Check.  And of course, like Ted Cruz says, “campaign conservatives”?  Check.

Except they don’t ACT like it.

Laws of Economics know no national boundary; If it doesn’t work in the UK…

…why is it that so many Democrat / Republicans who think Open Borders /  low end immigration think that the Economy for our low skilled workers would fare better?  All we keep hearing is that all immigration will be great for our economy – so how come their home countries are basketcases?

MASS immigration has driven down the wages of British-born workers in low-skilled jobs, an official Bank of England report has confirmed.

The influx of EU migrants can lead to pay reductions of nearly two per cent in some industries including catering, hotels and elderly care, the research showed. Campaigners last night seized on the document as official confirmation that EU migration is undermining the living standards of the UK’s least paid workers.

Hmm, lowering of pay doesn’t sound all that great now, does it?  So why would Dems and Repubs both hate our poor by increasing our levels of immigration?  I always thought that a nation’s leadership was supposed to RAISE living standards, not intentionally lower them!  But then again, it seems politicians all over are the King Canutes of economics.
