Minnesota Motorist Shot By Police May Have Had Firearm

We talked about the Minnesota shooting this morning and evidence that the man shot by police was pulled over as a possible suspect in a recent robbery, had a firearm and refused to keep his hands in view. Details are still emerging but one thing seems likely. The girlfriend, whose viral video may have triggered the … Read more

Notable Quote – Kevin D. Williamson

On FBI Director Comey’s decision on Hillary Clinton (emphasis mine): The actions by the FBI and the DOJ in this matter are legally and morally indefensible. The fact that these legally and morally indefensible actions come as no real surprise to anybody who has been paying attention indicates the character of the government under which … Read more

“… the character of the government under which we live…”

“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009)

Tax Money down the toilet for DoD green energy awardsThat title from Kevin Williamson on the criminal nature of the government we have elected (well, to be truthful, *I* certainly did not vote for this Administration).  And here, we see that it isn’t that it just doesn’t work but outright criminal.  After all, Obama declared 23 times that he did not have the authority to issue his Executive Order on illegal immigration – and then did it anyways (and the Judiciary shut him down).  This on the Obama Administration payment of billions to the Obamacare Crony Capitalism insurance companies that had no legal basis to do so:

The report issued Thursday demonstrates that the Obama administration initially recognized it did not have any authority to make these cost-sharing payments to insurers. The NY Times reports:

The Republican report says the administration’s treatment of the tax credits as it began setting up a new payment system validates the Republican criticism of the cost-sharing subsidies. The report notes that while the authority for the tax credit was undisputed, the administration itself could identify no funds available for the cost-sharing element.

Income bias at the White House – Obama hypocrisy

“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009)

Apparently, President Obama is all flappy gums when it comes to “income equality” (“equality”; that word always thrown about the Socialists all over) when it concerns others – not so much in his own workplace (still!) (emphasis mine):

Female staffers in the White House earn 89 cents for ever dollar that male staffers earn. That’s on par with one of the numbers often reported for the misleading “gender wage gap,” which finds women earning 77 or 78 or 89 cents to a man’s dollar.

An excellent couple of questions for Christians

From Mike Adams (read the whole thing for his examples of weak-knee pastors, emphasis mine, reformatted):

Last week, a young Christian male asked me a pretty direct question. He wanted to know whether I ever worried that my blunt commentary on social media was “turning people away from Christianity.” I thought it was an honest question. So I gave him an honest answer. I told him that I believe the problem is just the opposite of what he considers it to be. In other words, it isn’t occasional blunt commentary that turns people away from Christianity. It is the constant displays of Christian cowardice that make people both reticent to join and quick to attack us.

…I’m just sad that in the last sixteen years, I have learned that at least three quarters of the pastors who actually know what is right still lack the intestinal fortitude to take a stand for what they believe.

Blogline of the Day – Obama’s view of our military

Thankfully, I told my two boys to get out as soon as possible when he was elected – and for once, they listened to me: Obama’s Philosophy of War: Set a Goal, Then Prevent the Military from Achieving It (H/T: The Corner)

O: She’s Great! FBI Director: She Lacks Understanding

July 5, 2016 Obama:  “There has never been any man or woman more qualified for this office than Hillary Clinton,”

July 7, 2016 FBI Director:  Hillary might not have a “sophisticated enough” understanding to recognize classified email markings.

So let’s make her president!!! Hoooray!

Man, we’re screwed.

But first to Oblunder’s Oblivion.  Man, is this guy a pipe dream smoker.  It’s a reminder of Oblunder saying Isis is the JV team, then a few days later they begin to spill over the Middle East beheading, crucifying and murdering.

Gun Activist Warned PD Involved in MN Shooting

By now you’ve probably heard about the insanity that happened in Minnesota last night.  I caught the video. It’s repugnant, frightening, and sad.  I’ll admit I’m leaning towards the victim’s side of the story right now because it just looked so insane, but I’ll withhold my full judgment until I can process more information.  But … Read more

Clinton Gave Classified Material to Lawyers Who Were not Cleared….

hillary-clinton-liarHillary Clinton is only interested in protecting her blind pursuit of power, further exemplified by the fact that she handed over classified material to lawyers who were not cleared to see it so they could help her yank her bacon out of another fire.

Chaffetz: Yes or no: were there, or were there not, classified emails that Hillary Clinton’s attorneys read?

Comey: I don’t know whether they read them at the time.

Chaffetz: Did Hillary Clinton give non-cleared people access to classified information?

Comey: Yes. Yes.

White House Still Pays Women Less

equalpaymythIf you are gonna’ play with pay, then Democrats should explain why the White House ‘Pay Gap’ is STILL greater than that of the entire DC area?

If activists are going to use median annual salaries to claim women are paid less than men, then they ought to be consistent and call out President Obama’s White House. …

“…female staffers in the Obama White House currently earn 89.25% of the median salary for male staffers, or 89.25 cents for every $1 men earn, and there is a 10.75% gender pay gap at the Obama White House,” Perry wrote. “That pay gap is slightly smaller than the 15.8% gender pay gap at the White House last year, but is still more than 2.5 times greater than the average gender pay gap for the Washington, D.C., labor market of only 4% according to the most recent data available from the Department of Labor.” . . .

Ideologue or Pragmatist?

Jun 30, 2016  Presented by JONAH GOLDBERG When it comes to politics, do you have an ideology? Or are you a pragmatist? What’s the difference? Is one better than the other? Jonah Goldberg, Senior Editor for National Review, explains why ideology matters, and why “pragmatism” may not mean exactly what you think it does.

Dear Chris,

To Republican Executive Councilor Chris Sununu from one of his constituents. Hi Chris, Congratulations. You showed your true colors. So much for doing the right thing. Political fallout is obviously more important to you than voting your principles. Perhaps the politics is in your genes. I expected better of you. We are doomed because of … Read more

So, is this Senator Lindsay Grahamnesty’s Presidential failure revenge?

illegal alien signAyup, ask yourself – what is the ONE main issue that is already teed up to tick off the Conservative Republican base?

Ayup – immigration.  So what does RINO Grahamnesty want to do?  That’s right – tick them off good and solid (emphasis mine, reformatted):

Comprehensive immigration reform is back as senators eye new effort to pass ‘Gang of Eight’ bill after presidential election

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham doesn’t expect Donald Trump to win the White House, in fact he thinks Latino voters will be the billionaire’s downfall.  And so, after the November election, Graham, who ran for president this year [and failed – BADLY   -Skip] as well, said he expects the Senate will once again take on comprehensive immigration reform. ‘I’ll tell you what I’m going to do in 2017,’ Graham said, according to Politico. ‘I’m going to take the Gang of Eight bill out, dust it off and ask anybody and everybody who wants to work with me to make it better to do so.’

What does “comprehensive immigration reform” say to the base when spoken of by the Establishment?  Sure – one word:
