Resistance: not just for Progressives there, Skippy

Obama v Hogg AR-15 salesLike I said – fair game.

Welcome to Alinsky. And from what I’ve seen in over a decade, once riled and put upon, the Right is much more ingenious in being a Resistance. I look around at the signs of today and there is little creativity when compared to some of the TEA Party signs.

Letter: Senators condescending in debate on gun amendment

Sometimes for a conservative blogger, the Concord Monitor can’t be beat for finding fodder. The above was from yesterday concerning the Amendment that would allow local School Board make decisions on our Right to keep and bear arms (Article 2-a in the NH Constitution).

What Democrat NH State Senator Hennessey wanted to do is start to unravel the idea that we are a Dillon’s Rule state – the State of NH has primacy and the Towns and Cities in NH are mere political subdivisions. While this can be viewed as a bit disconcerting here in the State whose motto is “Live Free or Die” at that macro level, it would allow The State (at the local level) to monkey with universal Rights simply because of an extremist ideological hatred of firearms wielded by law-abiding citizens to where we wouldn’t really ever know, based on crossing a town/city line, if we were in compliance with the law or magically transformed into jailbait with a turn of one’s tires.

They Don’t Just Want the Guns…

Socialism - FistAfter Parkland, Democrats feel like they can come out of the closet on gun control. Inside their bubble, the outside world changed. The complete and utter failure of every mechanism they promised would protect us without a right to self-defense failed. Their response to this failure is to claw at your rights, and openly demand a repeal of the second amendment. A wholesale denial of the right to self-defense followed by a seizure by force of law of firearms from the law-abiding public.

Don’t act surprised. That was always the goal. Those of you who didn’t believe it or denied it (called us crazy) must ask why you ever believed them when they said it was not? Then ask yourself, how serious are the same people when they say (and they do say this openly now) that they oppose the right to free speech?

Tyranny is here and Moving Swiftly

By Josh Moore Former Supreme Court Justice, John Paul Stevens, is calling for the repeal of the second amendment. The next time a gun grabber spouts off with “no one is asking for your guns to be taken away”, remind them of Mr. Stevens’ remark. They’ve been asking for the repeal for quite some time, … Read more

The Opioid Crisis – Are Democrats Using it to Grow Government?

HeroineThe heroine, Fentanyl, Carfentanyl problem, crisis, war, however you would like to frame it, has, for our purposes, three positions. First, it is national security crisis. Second, it is a domestic enforcement crisis. And third, it is the addiction-treatment-recovery crisis.

Democrats oppose the first two and demand money for the third.

NH GOP Calling Out Dems on 2A Repeal Idea is a Good Start, But We Need More

NH_GOP_State_Committee_logoJust before 8:30 this morning I let loose on the left’s declaration of war against the second amendment. Knowing that this doesn’t scare nearly as many people as it should, I added what seemed to me to be a natural extension of this assault by bringing up the left’s war on the first amendment. And at the end, I closed the loop.

For years Democrats have suggested gun bans, but now former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens says we need to repeal the second amendment. Do you support that? If not, how far are you willing to go and what assurances after the failures in Parkland can you give your constituents about their safety?

This afternoon, the State GOP issued a press release and a video asking the entire Democrat Congressional Delegation, Democrats all, “to denounce recent calls to repeal the Second Amendment.”

FB Doodlings: “Katharine Gregg: Why can’t we give up our guns?” – Part 1

AR-15 PDWI am so behind on these kinds of “I comment here” and “commented there” type posts, so it’s now time to get a’marching.

The question above was asked over at the Concord Monitor. I’ll give her props for outing herself that she’s terrified of these totally inanimate object, and turn on her for demanding the my Right be cancelled to make her feel “safe”. That’s not my responsibility and if she truly thought about where that Right comes from and plays connect the dots, I might think different of her but I don’t – as an adult, she should have realized this much, much sooner. The failure to do so tells us of her arrested development in believing that she has a Right to outsource the basis of her feelings onto others. Now, at the risk of being accused of having no empathy – it’s not my job nor anyone else’s job to make her safe (unless they are drawing a paycheck directly from her to be her personal bodyguard). What she said that caught my eye (entire Op-Ed after the jump). My response:

“…For the good of all, we each give up a little..”.

Yes, Article 3 speaks to this “[Society, its Organization and Purposes.] When men enter into a state of society, they surrender up some of their natural rights to that society, in order to ensure the protection of others; and, without such an equivalent, the surrender is void.”

Notice it comes after Article 2-a, so it is subordinate to it: “[Art.] 2-a. [The Bearing of Arms.] All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.”

At least you make it clear that you are scared of guns. You also have hit on why most of us rebel against calls to turn them in: “Don’t restrict my freedom to have one. In fact, isn’t freedom to pursue things an American tradition? Our right? To be free to pursue our rights, or our desires, without interference – read regulation.”

More Than 4000 Teens Died Last Year From This…

I’m not taking away from the pain of Parkland or any tragedy, but if Democrats and their underage propaganda meat-puppets are going to parade around panting about progressive priorities (most of which are based on prevarications), I feel compelled to make this point. No, I’m not going to bring up all the hypocrisy about the … Read more

Vermont Advances Gun Control Legislation VT Law Enforcement Opposes

Bernie, Barn, VermontAs reported last week the Vermont legislature is fast-tracking gun ban legislation (s.55) that will do absolutely nothing to stop the crimes for which they claim it is being enacted.

An amended version of the Senate Bill passed the Vermont House this week and goes back to the Senate for review, reconciliation, more press, speeches, and assorted acts of tyranny a govrment engages in before denying legal citizens their natural rights.

There are plenty of supporters because the media has made this the biggest thing since problems were invented, ignoring the failures of government that caused the catalyst for these supposed reforms, while championing those that failed.

Nothing new there. But you don’t see this every day, and never in New Hampshire, at least not from the political NH Police Chiefs Association.

Levi Sanders Challenges NH Democrats To Run Left- Can They Keep Up?

Progressive_Flo_CommunistaI’m not picking sides in CD-1 (on the Republican side), but the race is still interesting. When Levi Sanders hinted at and then promptly entered that race a day later as a Democrat I think he did so with the number one seed. He’s the guy to beat. And he’s just like Dad, or maybe worse – which to Democrats means better.

Is that a boon to the Republican nominee; because every Democrat in the CD-1 field will have to crawl over each other to get to the left of Levi, a nearly impossible task, not that they aren’t already trying.

After this weekend’s “March for our lives”…they don’t realize they are just the newest version of Cindy Sheehan

How dare you wear that offensive t shirtIn hearing and reading the stories of how school administration and teachers were supportive of what turned out to be lots of, not “school safety” protests, but of “turn it up to 11” political rallies by middle and high school kids who seemingly know jack about our country’s political and philosophical history, the idea that a Right is not granted by Government, and aided, abetted, organized, and financed by the Left’s civilian disarmament battalions, the image above fits.

Really, after the snarling, F-bomb, cursing interviews all around the themes that THEY are in charge (and adults are stupid – gee, where’d they get THAT from??), I’m believing that charter schools, private schools, religious schools, and homeschooling rates are going to soar as parents determined “not MY little bundle of joy and angst.”

This Won’t Advance the Disarmament Agenda, But it Will Save Lives. Or is That Not the Point?

New law, school, shootings, ban guns in schoolsDemocrats are using underage mules to advance their disarmament agenda which will only get more kids killed but then, that’s all any Democrat gun-ban policy does. Get people killed. Or mugged, assaulted, raped, or robbed.

The only “safety” in progressive public safety policy is their safety from regular Americans when those policies fail.

We know they fail. Ninety-Eight percent of mass-shootings occur in gun-free zones, and the left’s answer is to make more of them by passing laws no criminal will ever follow. That’s why you need deterrence. Public knowledge that force can and will be met with force immediately and until the threat is neutralized.

Israel took the defense of their school kids seriously 40-years ago and it worked. So instead of marching children out to regurgitate political rhetoric that will result in more blood and bodies, American policymakers should stop trying to infringe on our constitutional rights and take notes.

I keep expecting more from DC Republicans – but they suck anyways.

Government-Spending-998x665That’s what swamp creatures do.  And this time, Trump jumped in.  From the Union Leader:

The bill abandons GOP claims of fiscal discipline in a stark reversal of the promises many Republicans ran on in capturing control of the House in 2010 and the Senate in 2014 as they railed against what they described as a profligate President Barack Obama.

House GOP leaders tossed aside their own rules and past complaints about Democrats to rush the legislation through the House ahead of a Friday night government shutdown deadline. Lawmakers of both parties seethed, saying they had scant time to read the mammoth bill, which was released less than 17 hours before they voted.

If the “lawmakers of both parties seethed”, then why did they vote yes?  Sorry, I lost my mind for a moment.  Yes, I was part of that
