Per usual, Democrats / Liberals / Progressives / Socialists show why comedy is dying –
On Friday, Governor Sununu called for the resignation of state senator Jeff Woodburn, saying:
[His] morally reprehensible, violent behavior has no place in public service, or anywhere else. Domestic violence will not be tolerated in New Hampshire. Senator Woodburn must resign. Immediately.
The problem, of course, is that Senator Woodburn has been accused of violent acts (including throwing a cup of water at someone’s face, and striking her in the stomach), but not convicted of anything. He says that he intends to fight the charges, which means that we must presume that he is innocent unless and until he is found guilty in court.
I would hope that, if the governor had given it a little more thought, he would have issued a somewhat different statement, like:

I’ve steadily ramped up my activism over the past several years — from attending presidential candidate town halls and NH GOP summits, to participating in focus groups which have appeared on Fox News Channel, to attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) the past three years in a row. The next logical step for me is to get off the sidelines and run for NH State Rep, because although we currently have a Republican majority in the House, we have too many reps in our party who either 1) don’t represent the party’s interests by kowtowing to unions or political correctness or 2) have poor attendance/voting records in Concord, resulting in devastating GOP losses on the House floor on several critical issues. My goal will be 100% attendance in NH House sessions — no less, since I have the flexibility with my employer to be in Concord for all sessions and committee work. And I am making a solemn promise to my future House GOP colleagues and my constituents to have a voting record that truly represents my district’s and party’s values and supports the NH Advantage.

Democrats sell stuff online and take the money. That exercise in capitalism is hypocritical enough given the direction the party has gone these last few years. And we think it damages what little credibility they have left. (Get it! Left?) So, we’re here to help.
If you’re going to engage in free market profiteering at least have the sense to sell things with a patina of honesty to them. Like this custom cotton “wife-beater” t-shirt.

You probably didn’t hear about this from the corporate media. It’s Dr. Darrell Scott, remarking on how he believes that President Trump has been very proactive about helping the urban community and that he may be the most pro-black president in our lifetime.
Mr. Trump has undoubtedly done more for black employment than any previous president “in our lifetime.”
We have cleared a small corner of the digital forest to bring you reports about drug and gang activity seeping into the US from Mexico. Human beings are trafficked as sex slaves. Criminal enterprises are run out of sanctuary cities and states as close to home as Lawrence Massachusetts.
Mr. Trump has done yeoman’s work trying to keep his campaign promise to plug the holes in our border security. But the Left, the press, and the courts continue to fight him at every turn. Neither the threat of gang violence against our citizens nor the drug deaths from the opioids they peddle are enough of an incentive to stand with the majority of Americans. So, is it safe to assume they don’t care about terrorism threats either?

Do you want illegal aliens here? James Vervaeke says “we” do (see Laconia Daily Sun, 7/24/18). I, and I suspect most Americans, don’t want them here. No one should be rewarded for breaking our laws, especially when so many illegal aliens harm American citizens and create a burden on American taxpayers. Yes, some illegal aliens come here for a better life, intending to be law-abiding and self-supporting, and work hard to support their families. But there are hundreds of millions of people who want to come here legally with the same intent, so we can and should pick and choose carefully.
A nation exists to benefit its own citizens, not citizens of other countries.

If New Hampshire State Senate Minority Leader Jeff Woodburn has any firearms, will he turn them in NOW? He is, after all, he’s in favor of “Red Flag” laws which empower the State to take firearms away from those deemed to be a danger to others or themselves (or both).
C’mon Jeff, show the courage of your convictions; if you got’em, turn ’em in as a show of faith because “dangerous people” should no longer be “entitled” to Due Process. You’re supposedly a “Leader.” But are you a leader out in front or a “leader from behind” like Obama self-described? C’mon, Jeff, resoundingly smash that old phrase “Fine for thee but not for me!” to smithereens?

First, State Democrat Party Chair Ray Buckley was quick to announce/denounce, which is way out of character. And second,

BUMPED/UPDATED based on my attendance at a training session where I was helping a couple of nights ago: from 1/5/13: “Kiddie tricycle riding journalist met up against a tank with a laughing blogger at the wheel”. Read the bottom of this post – it’s my description of Steve being interviewed by a cub reporter that thought she was hot stuff. Given that it is campaign season and a lot of NH folks may be running for the very first time, my “How To” words still hold true and they work. It comes down to this – if a “journalist” want to interview, ALWAYS record it. Always, always always.

A good Conservative friend on an email list, well known in NH, refuses to do press interviews. He’s had nothing but gotcha quotes / twisted quotes as a result, so he now leaves them twisting in the wind as they desperately try to get him to speak. There are some that do try for the ensnaring quote simply because of their ideological outlook – after all, what Glen Reynolds of Instapundit says of them is often true:

Mark Fernald is a Democrat running for the New Hampshire State Senate. His campaign signs say “Ax the Property Tax.” If that sounds too good to be true it is because it is.
The recent scramble to “do something” after the Wayfair decision said states could tax internet sales was big news.
When the New Hampshire House killed the ‘bipartisan’ draft language that was big news.
What should be even bigger news is that the language the committee used to draft the proposed legislation could hand some measure of “tax administration rulemaking” over to an out-of-state third party.
