Bill Kane has some words to share. I know. Who is Bill Kane, you ask? He’s this guy who took two minutes to tell you something you need to hear.
To give you a taste, he’s been all over the country and he thinks America is great. He also thinks that if you live in America, and you hate America, you’re a damn fool. And he’s right.
Part 1 – that is, if I can keep myself on target for the rest. The above quote is the title of a post by Lloyd Alter in stating that there is really only one way to solve the Climate Change crisis – and that is to vote and he goes on to say there are lots of things that can be done, proposes 5 main themes, and then admits that because folks like him and those at TreeHugger have failed to persuade Normal folks like us to voluntarily take up the hairshirt and ditch our cars, get rid of our stuff, live in tiny apartments and have to shop every day for groceries because of small fridges (it’s good for you to be out and talk to your neighbors!) and have to walk everywhere……we’ll use our votes to force Government to force you to live the way we want you to (emphasis mine):
A quick preface. Florence is a hurricane. It’s causing flooding, wind damage, and as more and more people flock to live in these areas the risk to lives and damage to property increases. That is their choice. And so it this.
A weatherman reporting for the weather channel is having a rough go. He’s trying to do his report in what appears to be very high winds. Leaning forward, and shifting his stance to stay upright. He’s really working it. Thespis would be proud. Because while he’s giving his performance, two guys walk into the back of the shot and for some reason, the winds are different where they are.
The media is all aflutter with the implication that Mr. Trump and his destructive exit from the Paris Climate agreement is responsible for Hurricane Florence. If not the hurricane itself then it’s intensity. If not the intensity then the risk to human life and (what will undoubtedly be reported as) record high property damage.
There’s only one problem.
My post about Antifa calling for its adherents to disarm “fascists” (who are merely exercising their Second Amendment Rights while Antifa is, well, acting like real fascists in denying speech and other rights and bullying everyone else) caught some attention. Especially Grokster Rick who served as a US Marine, headed up the armory at Parris Island, is a former police officer, and is an expert firearms instructor. So at our impromptu Grokster gathering, he did an impromptu video lesson as to why things would not go well for Antifa if they tried such an act.
Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) says it put 25 door-knockers on the Ground for the primary, knocking on 75,000 doors, in support of candidates running for the New Hampshire House.
“Every Operation Win at the Door race that YAL mobilizes door-knockers for is an opportunity to send principled, liberty-minded individuals to state legislatures across the country,” the press release stated. “Every candidate we endorse and deploy for is slated to become a champion for our ideals in every chamber they enter. We are building the future bench of liberty candidates for federal office.”
So, who did YAL support?

One reason Capitalism is superior, maybe the primary reason, is because it treats people better than Socialism. In Socialism, everyone is either a resource and/or just another mouth to feed…a burden. I’d rather be treated as a customer with others trying to figure out how to best satisfy my needs.
And this is exactly the point that most people miss – the whole point of the supply side of Capitalism is NOT to steal your money and be greedy rich – it doesn’t work that way even as the Left (and the MSM) try to portray it that way. They always seem to miss two very important points:

Republicans pursue policies which enable Americans to prosper and pursue their American dreams. Democrat politicians pursue policies that seem only intended to get political support, even when those policies hurt many Americans.
President Obama observed that slow economic growth and high unemployment might be the “new normal” that manufacturing jobs and the days of high economic growth were gone forever. That was true under his Democrat policies which caused most poor and middle income Americans to grow poorer, putting 13 million more people on welfare; while the rich prospered.
President Trump’s Republican policies have already created a rapidly (4.2 percent GDP) growing economy offering good full-time jobs, a growing manufacturing sector, 2.9 percent wage growth last year, and record low unemployment rates. Four million people already have left the welfare rolls. There are more job openings than “unemployed” people, so workers have more opportunities for better jobs and income.

Who knew that there was a Bangkok climate change conference, not to talk about climate change, but to talk about our Benjamins? It seems this whole thing is about “your money becoming our money, you greedy developed nations!”. So who is really surprised at this….at all?

Antifa – the new brownshirts of the Democrat Socialists. It really is what they are – the newest version of the Klan and the Nazi / Mussolini brownshirts; few leading Democrats have it suitable to disavow their riot provoking activities. To summarize in simple terms, these “anti-fascists” believe that not all speech is permissible and that “hate speech” (which is anything to which they disagree with) is the same as actual physical violence. I’ve had a few things to say about free speech. More than a few. Campus “speech” is one of the more common places to land. The inclusion and diversity movements (hypocritically) invest so much time and energy limiting speech to a very narrow set of approved words and ideas that the fruit is heavy and very low.
But University administrations, as it turns out, are no better. They’ve taken to using the courts to keep from having to protect their own student’s first amendment rights.
Anderson Cooper reports from hurricane ‘ravaged’ [insert name here] wearing waders and up to his waist in water. But that’s only because he chose to stand in a ditch along the side of the road. His cameraman and technician, as you’ll see in the following image, are only up to their shins in water.
After all, aren’t those folks also in the Democrat / Leftist Identity Group Politics Totem Pole? Especially the last one? (H/T: Powerline)
