I had to check three times, as I didn’t believe the scores could go any lower. Drumroll, please. I guess a new 9 million dollar school and 7 or 8 (lost count) tax cap overrides in ten years for the school budget does not improve education.

In 2010 Dover schools tested 78% in math, starting to freefall to 38% in 2019. It hit an all-time low of 35% in 2022 (per the NHDOE numbers for Dover).
The parameters are scoring 50% and higher! Therefore, you are graduating 65% who failed math! Reading and science are not much better. Rather than address this tragedy, you, who were elected to this city, continue to do nothing about this free fall.
You pander to the union and do not demand results. Porn in school libraries is protected. Anyone can use any bathroom. You obviously don’t care about educating children in math, reading, and science. Pronouns are not a word that can function by themselves as a noun but something entirely different.
Most Dover school children can’t do simple math, know US geography, how to read a ruler, units of measure, read an analog clock, read and write cursive or other skills and knowledge that will help them be productive adults. The bar is set so low, and after 12 years of complacency, it’s your norm… But you got your override and gave the union what they wanted without any accountability whatsoever, again. School children are again SOL.
Nothing like more than half my taxes going toward a failing education system, and all you do is cry for more. If you were actually producing results, you know, children who are learning the three Rs and scoring decent, among other useful life skills, it would be an excellent bar to stand on when bleeding us for more taxes. The bar is underwater, and parents that can, are pulling their children from public school faster than a locomotive.
You are a busy bunch getting teacher union members and your squad friends yelling at the rest of us that we hate teachers. Teachers hate taxpayers, and those who question why, are called bigots and racists while laughing at citizens. Apparently, to you, it is easier than working to produce ACTUAL positive results. It could be you don’t know how to improve the situation!?
This is really bad, and the longer you all sit on your hands, the more village idiots you’ll produce.
Can’t wait for the excuses on this one. Much to your chagrin, I won’t hold my breath for any.
