Heavy manufacturing is impossible without fossil fuel energy. The extraction, transportation, and modification of raw materials to make wind and solar possible are carbon and fossil-fuel intensive. So, as Biden Inc. drives up energy costs (to make “green” more price-competitive), it is driving up the cost of green.
And the lever-pullers don’t seem to care about any of the negatives.
The next time a progressive tries to impress you with their false virtue, ask them when they’ll be buying a ticket to the Congo to protest for workers’ rights in cobalt mines. You know, for the children.
Tribal Democrats are committed to ignoring the numerous downsides while pricing fossil fuels out of reach so that the already high cost of wind and solar look more appealing. They believe this even though it will crush the economy, kill jobs, and punish the middle and lower class.
Since Biden’s elevation to the office, his administration has worked to accomplish that goal.
In fewer than 11 months, this administration has:

- Killed the Keystone XL pipeline.
- Threatened to plug the Canada-to-Michigan Enbridge Line 5 pipeline.
- Halted oil leases in a sliver of Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
- Stopped oil and gas leases on federal lands.
- Proposed a methane tax that could cost this industry up to $10 billion annually.
- Encouraged left-wing activists to pressure financiers to defund oil companies.
Their response to their own outrage over rising prices, a deliberate side effect of deliberate policy decisions, is just as ridiculous.

Given the religious fervor that informs Team Biden’s hatred of oil, its current actions are utterly incoherent. To escape the political hell of what it considers high-gas-price heaven, Biden begs OPEC and the Kremlin to increase oil output. This is like the Anti-Saloon League beseeching Scotland to boost whiskey production after Prohibition shuttered U.S. distilleries.
Relying on the Middle East and Moscow for energy also undermines Biden’s own environmental objectives. At the margin, Biden’s approach would generate more carbon dioxide. North American crude cleanly crosses U.S. territory (and, to a degree, the Canadian border) via carbon-neutral pipelines.
Democrats “burned American jobs,” wrecked the economy, and ran away from energy independence for this. A state of being they embrace, presumably, to justify an accelerated path to their green utopia.
Even our “allies” are pointing out how stupid this all looks.

The Democrat solution is incapable of meeting even current energy needs but this is somehow sold as a path to future prosperity. And that’s true, in a way. The people in power laundering our money to the Green Energy Oligarchs who elect them will continue to prosper. They will have access to and use fossil fuel energy.
All while forcing us to bear the burden of the problems they created. Arrangements that will make fossil fuels and their not-so-green energy more expensive.
