There is little good to report on the Southern Border, and even Democrats are having second thoughts. Biden’s approval among Hispanics in South Texas has crashed as the Biden-Harris Border policy overwhelms local communities.
What “compassionate” Democrats don’t seem to understand is that the Tejano culture in South Texas pre-dates not only Texas and the United States, it also pre-dates Mexico. Tejano culture is not an immigrant culture. But gentry white Democrats somehow think that turning all of South Texas into one huge refugee camp for Central Americans and Haitians is popular with South Texans. It’s not. Which is making it a lot easier for culturally conservative Hispanics to finally cross over and vote Republican.
According to the not even remotely right-wing Dallas Morning News, Biden is underwater with 54% disapproving and only 35% approving. Ace also reports that McAllen, Texas, a long-time Democrat stronghold buttressed by a majority Hispanic American population, just elected a Republican mayor over the summer (before the Haitian Invasion).
The situation has not since improved as tens of thousands of illegal aliens swarm the border bringing with them all manner of third-world disease, not just COVID (not that we’d know, there isn’t a lot of testing going on in them there parts).
If Democrats thought they were turning Texas Blue, they are in for a rough ride as they continue to lose Hispanic voters. And they are losing Hispanic voters.
They are losing independent voters.
If that translates into more losing Democrats, that’s the only good news coming to us from America’s Southern Border.
