He was asked about freedom of speech under Taliban rule. It’s pretty brutal when a terrorist organization calls out big tech for infringing on people’s rights.
That SpoxTerrorist has a great point – don’t expect us to follow your rules when your people (in this case, Facebook – and Twitter and Google and the rest of Big Tech) refuse to follow them as well.
Yes, ignore, for the moment, that the Taliban is a Government and the Big US Techs are private enterprises. Yet, the general principle that used to be honored no longer is.
Even the Biden Administration has been trying to use private industry to deplatform those of us that don’t hew to the “Government line” – remember how much they were talking about “misinformation” and that individuals if taken off one social media platform, should be removed from ALL social media platforms?
Yeah, that’s real fascism – when a country doesn’t OWN the means of production but certainly has private entities as their captured toadies being marrionetted and their “strings attached” being pulled by the
Obama retreads Biden staffers to get what Government wants done.
Our State Department and Biden’s Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield show how SJW-oriented they are with these silly “demands” to a government they KNOW is just laughing at them. The Taliban understand “Power” in a way that the US (and the rest of the West) don’t. The latter are all about “soft power” and that “soft” beats “hard”.
I guess we’ve just seen, in losing the War of Afghanistan, how much the Left hates using “hard” against our foreign enemies, and those on the Right ARE right in saying that the Biden Administration is more intent going after its “domestic terrorists” enemies – actions speak louder than words.
There is no Freedom of Speech in Afghanistan anymore. The Biden Administration is trying to get to that point, just not yet at the point of a gun.
