No one in the West can watch the events unfolding in Afghanistan without a sense of horror. The nation-building dreams of neocon George Bush, continued by the feckless Obama for eight more years, are coming crashing down.
President Trump saw this tarpit of a nation for what it is and, after waiting perhaps too long, finally committed to the orderly withdrawal from the country. Like everything else he inherited, Joe Biden has turned this into an epic disaster that is playing out before our eyes. This is a true tragedy, and there will be millions of real victims, especially the women of Afghanistan.
The Opportunity
This unfolding tragedy provides an opportunity for American feminists to kick actual toxic masculinity in the teeth. Americans flocked to Spain during the Spanish civil war to fight against Fascism. I call upon American feminists to do the same for Afghanistan.
Form the Hillary Clinton and Gloria Steinem Brigades. Let Hillary, the smartest woman ever, lead you to victory; AOC can be her vice-commander. Show the world you are truly the equal of men in all things, meet the Taliban on the field of battle and let them hear you roar! Wrest this country back from true paternal despotism and create the feminist Utopia you so desperately crave.
I would honestly cheer the feminists on if they fought against this ascendant fundamentalist Islamic evil.
The Warning
Unfortunately, I don’t believe that will ever happen.
In the end, the feminists will do nothing except remain in their safe places and continue showing their hatred for Judeo-Christian masculinity. The masculinity that made their privileged life in Western civilization possible.
The feminists are emboldened because they know (perhaps unconsciously) these men are not toxic and will continue to show tolerance and restraint despite their venomous attacks.
These hate-filled harpies will continue to subvert our successful, tolerant civilization without giving thought to what awaits them if they actually succeeded in their goal of destroying it.
And now the lesson of Afghanistan and a warning for America: The women of Afghanistan are in great peril because the men of the government army folded before the barbarian onslaught like a deck of cards in a strong wind. Feminists undermine American masculinity at your own peril because there will be no one to defend you when the real barbarians come.
