A Willing Recipient Plugged into the Left’s Cultural Matrix?

There’s this guy. He’s wearing a mask in the store – I think it was just one. I see him as he exits, still masked, then the long march to the socially distanced back of an almost empty parking lot.

He loads his one bag into a (so-called) “eco-friendly” vehicle one evolutionary machine-step above a scooter, still masked.

I was driving away and did not see, but if I had to guess, he operates his little car with that thing over his face.

He may not listen to NPR or ponder his status as a white oppressor, but he seems willing to allow the government to limit his choices. What’s worse is the likelihood he wants them to limit other people’s freedoms. Does he want it to silence their speech, rob them of their property, all in the name of whatever his co-dependence on Left-Wing-Media messaging can muster?

Yes, it is his choice to do any or all of these things, but he appears to be a victim of serial, systemic media terrorism.

He’s afraid.

Maybe not of everything, but it is clear that he is open to the possibility—a willing recipient plugged into the Left’s cultural Matrix.

He has given up his free will while (probably) thinking he’s his own man.

There are millions just like him.

But there are millions just like me. People who believe that liberty is rarer and more precious than life. That the people drawn to power are destined to misuse it.

And they have and do and will.

But I refuse to live in fear. I do not trust any of them much farther than I can throw them – not far. And I will do what I can to ensure that no voice is silenced, even his.

And that’s the difference that matters.

You don’t have to agree with me on everything or nearly anything, but if you find yourself thinking some voices need to be silenced because you disagree, you might as well hang it up.

You already live in fear, especially the fear that our ideas might require you to live in liberty, where, ironically, you could still wear a mask, distance yourself, and drive a mailbox-sized “vehicle.” You can even live in a state that runs the way you seem to think we all should live.

California and New York Come to mind. They are frightened, restrained, confined. Intolerance is packaged as equity or justice while they are robbed of the fruits of their labors to enrich a ruling class that does not believe you capable of being your own man (or woman).

You are a tool of the regime and a rusty one at that. Your children (or theirs) may never know a world without tyranny if you have your way or just stand by while they have theirs.

Then what? No state with which to escape, and there’s a lot of escaping going on these days. People in tiny cars, wearing masks, buying up property in the hinterland.

Once you get there, take the mask off and breathe in a little liberty.

You were born to be free no matter what your color, sex, age, race, or inclination. Only men and women can take that from you, but it would be great if you’d stop helping them.

Don’t be one of these!
