Asian Rights Activists Diss Biden’s China-Virus Anti-Racism Emergency-Order Pandering

Joe Biden is a big fan of affirmative action. Kamal Harris is too. And while Trump fought the practice, the Obiden administration is expected to let the Affirmative action good times roll. That will deliberately discriminate against Asian students who might care less what you call the virus that originated in China.

“To be quite frank, I think this is the least of our worries,” said Isaac Yi, a member of the Young Asian Pacific American Leaders group. “I think the executive order was just a form of pandering to the Asian-American community.”

“Action speaks louder than words,” Xu said. “Obviously, minorities do face racism in the United States, for sure. But a lot of Asian Americans are looking at the order and saying, ‘Are you actually going to have policies that will allow Asian Americans to be treated equally in employment and affirmative action?'”

The Left’s love affair with affirmative action historically punishes qualified Asian students from admission to elite schools. And while the Trump administration fought the practice, the Obiden administration is not expected to do much, if anything, about that kind of discrimination while advocating for more of it.

Pretending the term China Virus, while it may or may not be offensive – I’ve seen Chinese food I fear more than the Wuhan Flu –  pandering to word choice does nothing to address actual discrimination. True bigots will always find ways to infringe on the rights of others out of spite or malice.

But what do you do about an administration whose policy preference is to institutionalize actual discrimination? Well, you could tell the truth, but you might get flagged for misinformation and de-platformed.

Hey, I didn’t vote for any of this, and the odds are good a majority of Americans, regardless of race, did not either. But that’s not what happened. Vote by mail, it appears, is a form of “affirmative action,” too.
