“All entities that are not explicitly right-wing will become left-wing over time”

I used to do a lot of hiking, and my hiking buddy liked to pick up the occasional stone and toss it back up the mountain. He was only half-serious when he implied that he was counteracting the natural forces of regression or decline. Entropy, even. Someone should have done that with Fox News or, better yet, Republicans.

Fox News was the big moneymaker in cable news, but that ship has sailed, crashed, burned, and is sinking.

Scuttled!

Lou Aguilar writes about this decline at American Spectator, where I found my title. It’s a quote from his fellow contributor John O’Sullivan. “All entities that are not explicitly right-wing will become left-wing over time.”

To paraphrase Kelly Clarkson, “Sew that on a pillow!”

The Fall of Fox News is but one example of how the left destroys everything they touch; institutions, lives, cultures, entire cities, states, political parties, and nations. All for one purpose. The blind pursuit of political power. Control.

How many once “Good Republicans” have been ruined by the swamps in DC or your State Capital? Poisoned by the well. Sucked in and then under by the progressive blackhole culture whose gravity constantly pulls at everything around us. The NH State Senate comes to mind.

The answer is too many.

It not only swallows earnings, property, and rights, it dines heartily on the weak mettle of so-called principled politicians who find it easier to go along and get along than uphold their oath of office.

To not just push back on new infringements but clawback liberties long denied.

And in the absence of institutions with strong backbones (undermined or scuttled by the left) when in Rome!, an adage wholly responsible for the Trump revolution.

His presidency is a direct response to the problem, “All entities that are not explicitly right-wing will become left-wing over time.”

It has served as a litmus test—a barometer for not just taking America back but for exposing entities that would rather pander to the left and be left alone than fight for what’s right. But the jokes on you. They will never leave you alone.

Fox News fell hard and fast, but they were not the first. National Review took a dive in 2016 long before Trump was sworn in, and even sites like HotAir.com, once-reliable, have (IMO) begun moderating and drifting over the past year toward the dark center of the left’s universe.

Locally, the Union Leader has gone from swirling the bowl to swimming with the brown trout.

Under normal circumstances, this would not be a matter of concern. As Aguilar observes, FOX appears to have “made the same hubristic mistake the other media sources did before FNC went live in 1996 — the belief that people had nowhere else to go.” But things are not exactly normal.

Big Tech, leveraged by institutional pressure within (their own culture) or liberal activists without, cower toward the left side of the narrative. Not just Social Media companies or search engines but ISP’s, Mail Services, even banks, and businesses are collapsing into the black hole.

Newsmax, the beneficiary of FNC’s suicide, still have to channel their programming into a delivery system dominated by the censorious left. The same goes for websites, podcasters, Vloggers, and the rest.

If the Demorrhoids take over the communication airports, roads, and bridges, we can only march so far until others need to be cut or built. A business that requires resources that the left will hunt down and kill to protect their narratives: banks harassed for loaning money to start-ups, crowd-sourcing sites badgered into rejecting the overtures of those protecting or promoting opposing speech, even venture capitalists threatened if they back the wrong business model.

Stealing elections is just a piece of that puzzle whose picture is a nation where “All entities are explicitly left-wing,” so where do we stand?

I’m throwing rocks uphill as fast as far and as often as I can. And I’ll keep doing it for as long as I can. Because the Constitutional Republic is a rare and beautiful thing and I’m not inclined to give it up for Democrats, Big Tech, RINO,s or anyone else.
