“If Obama or Biden had achieved this it would have looked a lot different.”

After the historic Middle East peace deal signing the press corps was silent. SILENT. Kayleigh McEnany is now expressing disgust with them. Why? Because Trump has done something historic. He got a peace deal between Middle East nations, that’s plural.

And after the deal signing the press corps did not even acknowledge the accomplishment. Their response was a refusal to ask even one solitary question on the agreement. Like it or hate it, it is an accomplishment. It is significant.

And she rightly put them on blast. She let them know all about it. She gave them an opportunity to do their job. Then, toward the conclusion of last Wednesday’s press briefing, she had had enough. The White House Press Secretary laid into the reporters assembled before her.

McEnany said, “What I will weigh into is the Middle East Peace Deals signed yesterday that I did not receive a single question about… That was the first time that happened in a quarter of a century. If Obama or Biden had achieved this it would have looked a lot different.”

The Peace deal

Leaders from Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in a historic peace deal. It will involve establishing embassies, exchanging ambassadors, and beginning to work together as partners.

President Trump describes the agreement as “the dawn of a new Middle East.” He expects several other countries to follow. The President’s efforts are earning him two Nobel Peace Prize nominations.

McEnany then took her hammer to Chuck Todd and Nancy Pelosi for good measure. McEnany was happy to call out media members and Democrat lawmakers. She did so by name for downplaying peace in the Middle East. Peace in the Middle East is something many people didn’t think was achievable. At least not in this lifetime.

McEnany said, “You wouldn’t have Chuck Todd saying he’s uncomfortable with the deal that brings peace between the United Arab Emirates and Israel and Bahrain… You wouldn’t have CBS calling it, quote, ‘a business deal… And you wouldn’t have Nancy Pelosi calling it a distraction… Maybe it’s a distraction from her visits to the hair salon… Those were significant agreements… It’s the first time in a quarter of a century three peace deals in 29 days. It took 26 years for the prior two peace deals. So the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for the President – two of them – very well deserved.”

Conclusion

What she said is beyond dispute. What would be the reaction if these agreements had taken place under the prior administration? We all know the media would have gone gaga. Instead, the media ignores the peace deals… even after prompting. That’s not bias. That is bigotry to the point of not doing the job you are paid for.

These bigots are truly the enemy of the people. They get dressed down for not doing their job and all they have is catcalls from the bleacher seats. After the historic Middle East peace deal signing the press corps was silent… SILENT.
