Angelo Codevilla has a great piece over at Real Clear Politics. His thesis is one with which we agree, and have shared repeatedly – in our own words – over recent months. “[T]he ruling class took this opportunity (COVID19) to extort the general public’s compliance with its agendas.”

In sum, the lockdowns have been inflicted and perpetuated by people who care more about your subjugation than your health. They want to wreck the U.S. economy and increase the Democratic Party’s chances in the 2020 election. And they might succeed.
It is important to note that while the political Left and their corporate media machine are stirring fear for their own ends – the eviction of Donald Trump from politics – petty tyrants have emerged from city, county, and state. Individuals who are exposing themselves as people who are drawn to positions of power and the last people on earth to whom we should give it.
City councils top-heavy with Democrats exercising a predisposition toward the micro-management of everything and a few Republicans who ought to know better but answer to a higher power than Constitutions, the voters, or simple common sense; their Rasputin is the ruling class elite.
An honest reckoning, if we can get one, will reveal that the COVID-19 experience in America has only tangentially been about health. It has been, predominantly, a political campaign based on the pretense of health but dedicated to the maintenance of elite control—and it has done far more damage and caused more misery than the coronavirus itself.
This last bit could serve as a foil to the ongoing tyranny. But no one is reporting those numbers.
While we get a daily reckoning of infections and deaths attributed to COVID19 – tiny and meaningless numbers (at this point) in the scope of daily human experience – no one is reporting (daily) business closed or jobs gone forever. There is no morning update on despondent citizens admitted for drug or alcohol addiction, no list of overdoses or suicides attributed to the political response.
If the media posted data daily on the rise in these numbers or the rising cases of child or spousal abuse, we would look at the COVID numbers and ask ourselves why are we still doing this?
The messenger here is the same as the one that berated Reagan and Bush for Homelessness but could not find column inches for it under Bill Clinton. The same dedicated reporters who made body counts in costly and unnecessary wars front-page news under Bush II but lost track of it under Obama.
The same people, telling us our facts are not theirs, and as such, must be false, misleading, even dangerous.
As for the medical reality, real science is seeping out in dribs and drabs around the Dutch Boy Media’s rhetorical finger in the information dam. This, after being suppressed by Big Tech, Billion dollar media corporations, and even local judges ignoring the Constitutional limitations on abuse of power to which they swore an oath. Abandoned in favor of their own internalized opinion about fear.
‘Any average person can see that masks are necessary,’ they say, ‘normal’ defined by the ruling class as, those who bend the knee to their tyranny.
The correct response is to throw the bums out. Replace the broken parts with ones that work. This includes those at the legislative level who will remove judges who ignore the Constitution in favor of political fearmongering.
It seems like an impossible task, but since when did that ever stop real American’s from reaching for anything, especially something over 200 years old and more precious than life itself. The idea that the government answers to the people and not the other way around.
It is our obligation to leave the inheritance of liberty to future generations even when they can’t see how valuable it truly is. A task we did not want but can not abandon. Should we fail to protect it, our political enemies will pervert it and erase it and us along with it.
