The operative question should always be: “Who Chooses?” You or someone whose decision you will have to follow? “Taxation is Theft” is but one answer to that question.

Democrats sneer when we on the Right use that phrase. I think this proves our point. Selfish Socialists WILL steal at the point of a legislative pen anything they want if given the chance and the Power.
They really do BELIEVE that Society belongs to and is subservient to Government needs. And in their world, like with teachers unions, the needs only grow and grow and grow. Your role, like all good serfs (and for those of means, to MAKE them serfs), is to feed it all they demand (emphasis mine, reformatted).
Bernie Sanders wants to tax Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg’s ‘outrageous pandemic wealth accumulation’
‘It is unconscionable that the super-wealthy are getting even richer in the midst of this crisis’
Sanders co-sponsored the Make Billionaires Pay Act that impose a one-time 60 percent “windfall” tax on $731 billion accumulated by 467 billionaires, over the six month period.
Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon and the wealthiest man in the world, would pay a one-time tax of $42.8 billion. Elon Musk, whose wealth has reportedly tripled during the pandemic, would be expected to pay $27.5 billion. And Marc Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook, would pay $22.8 billion in taxes.
Just for clarification – this isn’t the 70% income tax that would be paid yearly that the Socialists (Bernie, AOC) have thrown up (see what I did there??) in the past. This “windfall” tax is a tax on their wealth – not income. Wealth on which they have already paid taxes on. But this is what Socialists want. Doesn’t matter if there is a pandemic or some other thing – it’s a crisis that isn’t to be wasted but to be exploited.
What Bernie doesn’t tell you is that all these people are providing products SUCCESSFULLY at prices people are willing to VOLUNTARILY PAY. The dirty little secret (well, I HAVE said this lots of times in the past so “secret” isn’t really all THAT secret) is that if these Billionaires didn’t provide what people believe is “added value”, they wouldn’t be buying those products. That they HAVE done so irritates these Selfish Socialists oh so much.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., said that the U.S. will tax “billionaires’ outrageous pandemic wealth” incurred between the months of March and August – a period when 50 million Americans applied for jobless aid. “We are going to tax Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and the other billionaires’ outrageous pandemic wealth accumulation so we can provide health care to all our people,” Sanders said in a tweet Saturday.

The other thing that becomes so evident is that absolute outrage that Bernie and his cohort have towards the rest of us. This shows, writ VERY large, that the purposes to which you wish to have and own Private Property (your wealth), one of the bedrocks of our Constitutional Republic, is both an outrage and a barrier to the world they wish to transform us (pretty much without our consent) into.
They also don’t trust anyone except for themselves, to “spend” their money correctly. It doesn’t matter that these folks spend hundreds of millions on charitable work – Bernie doesn’t believe that the idea of a Charity should even exist. Government, and only Government, should be the entity is supplying everyone’s needs. Period.
It should NEVER be up to Government to be that (because as we have seen in history, once a Government has the resources to do that, it can also take them away. Trust me, swerve the the “Political Correct” and not show sufficient gratitude to your new Benevolent Overlords, you, too can end up on the north end of an anti-aircraft gun (amirite, Kim Jong-un?).
This is all about Power – the ability to make you afraid of what Government can and will do for you – in this case, persuading people to voluntarily give you money for products and services. Bernie hates this because he sees this as the domain of The State – no one else.
